Ed, which test kit do you prefer? I see you are using 2 different brands.

Hi Sandy,

I prefer Elos as it's much easier to see the color change compare to Salifert. More steps in the Elos Mg testing kit but dead accurate IMO.

Just spent the last few hours going through this entire thread. Great tank Ed, and a thread to match. Have to say my favourite part is the rockwork.
p.s: Did you manage to catch the shroom muncher??

Not yet but I have ban my urchin to the sump so monitoring if this will stop the shrooms from being someone's dinner :D

More Zeo stuff arrived in the mail. Man…. dosing all these products is not cheap!! But hopefully the end results will be worth it!!

Water clarity is great so far and I have never run such ULNS before without any used of Phosphate or NO3 remover in my 9 years reefing to keep my NO3 and PO4 inline and so far, I’m please…!!

Of course credit must be given to my Deltec AP702 skimmer as well as it’s a true workhorse.

Could be the Rabbitfish...They are known to munch on Zoas, so shrooms should be no problem too. Nasty looking skimmate btw.

Yeah, now thatr my Tuxedo Urchin is in the sump, the next suspect is my Rabbitfish....so far my Zoas is fine but my shrooms have no chance at all :eek2:

third pic from bottom looks like a browned out hydnophora. I could be wrong, i'm not the best at sps i.d.'s either. I hope you can find out what the first one is. I have one just like it, and I don't have a I.d. either.

Thanks Salty55 - I was told the 1st one is a possible Acropora divaricata and the third pic is a possible Montipora confusa. I also think it's some sort of Monti and not a hydnophoro from the polys but who knows  I ahve never seen a confuse with such growth before but quite positive it being a Monti :D

These batches of cultured frags are of much better quality and conditions compare to the earlier batch IMO. Sorry over here we don’t get those ‘designer’ corals like you guys get there…!!

ANY ID HELP GUYS??

Well, I'm not good at this usually. I'll recognize a shape and put a name to it, but sometimes have them wrong.

#7 is gorgeous. I'm not sure. Very delicate and pretty - maybe A. granulosa like you suggested.
#8 is another favorite of mine. I had one once, but it didn't live longer than six weeks in my tank. I was sorry to see it RTN away.
#9, #10 - sorry, doesn't ring a bell yet.
#11 - Green Slimer, aka A. yongei would be my guess.

That Pocillopora will fuzzy out in a couple of days, and then you'll see lots of pink color.
