OK, so how’s the corals condition after such a long trip?? After acclimatize each pieces in its bags slowly to my tank’s temperature, I get them ready for a bath in Coral Rx

Total of 11 pieces of mix acros of cultured, wild and some deep-water beauties…and a HUGE hole in my wallet :eek1:

Here are some teaser pictures of the wild colonies and cultured pieces… sorry for the poor picture quality , as it’s not easy to take pictures with one hand and at the same time shivering with excitement lol

Wow, "A BEAUTY LOST AT SEA", I have never seen this before. Is there a name for this deep water species. It is really nice. You have some nice pieces there, I cant wait to see them in the tank.

BACK FROM WORK INTO A DISSASTER

BACK FROM WORK INTO A DISSASTER

Came back from work last night very excited to see how the new babies are doing as I left for work in the morning before the lights are up and 7 pieces of the new addition have RTN on me!

I was just totally devastated….guess they didn’t make the long trip here :sad1: to top things off, another 2 piece of my SPS also RTN at the same time :furious:

I immediately check my params and all seem fine. At least the good news is the other corals in the display all seem fine.

The remaining 4 pieces seem to acclimatized fine but still keeping a close eye on it. Thank god my 2 deep-water tabling acro are OK but lost the other colonies and frags.

Will post some pictures of the remaining across later once I download the pictures from my camera.

Also the 1st time for me to see this beauty. Over her they call it Green Ivory Tusk Acro, whatever that means (direct translation from CHinese) :)

REMAINING CORALS

REMAINING CORALS

This is the remaining acros and montie that made it in this shipment.

Deep-water:

Surprise Additions
In the same shipments, this deep-water acro came as a pleasant surprise from my wife (she’s very supportive on my addiction) as she decided to add this into the shipment to surprise me. She also added a Red Millie colony (about 12cm across) to surprise me, which unfortunately was part of those that didn’t make it. What she didn’t know also was I already have a huge shipment of Millies earlier on  but the deep-water acro is sweet!!

Cultured Table frag:

Montie:

Sorry â€"œ bad picture as I was not in the mood to change lense.

Could this be a Confusa or Undata? The above montie was a surprise too as my distributor felt bad about the lost of my fav deep-water acro, so he decided to butter me up with this free montie

I’m still confused trying to figure out what happen to this shipment?? I’m really down as most of them are real beauties, especially the deep-water species….

Any ID help guys??

Sorry to hear that Ed... :( I also lost several wild colonies in the past, who seemed to do fine when I got them... Maybe the stress is just too much for some of them.
Good luck, and I hope you can save the rest of it.
