EvolutionZ 65 SPS dominated shallow reef

trying out fish photography,

my lone survivor of 4 dispar anthias, the previous 3 all jumped out after being chased by my blue chromis, now that chromis lives in my sump, this fella is doing great

Copperband butterfly! one of my fav fishes ever since i started this hobby, but felt tank wasn't ready. now its been 8 months and was hoping even if it didn't eat frozen food, i have tons of words/pods for him to eat. But i was lucky! this fella started eating frozen mysis on day 2 and is a pretty quick eater! i currently feeds him up to 4 frozen meals a day to pump him up.

Flame angel, occasionally nips at my SPS when i forgot to feed in the afternoon.

my pair of true percular

ends this post with a blood shrimp! have yet to see it go out in the open!

Some updates:

Just started Fauna Marin Color Elements for about 2 weeks & FM Balling for about 1 week. im pretty amazed by the result thus far. i had problems with red and now its improving!

red millie

red dragon turned from brown to getting redder everyday!

this was from one of my first ever SPS cultured colony. whole colony STN probably half a year ago and managed to save a tiny 1/2" frag. it was stunned for many months and only after i started dosing FM Reef Vitality, this fella started growing pretty fast.

brown out red millie regaining its red.

now for the rest of the acros frags.

bought as a so called devil's whip.

Acropora Sarmentosa. a pity it's PE is brown!

interesting piece, bought as a light pink acro. turns out to be blue/purplish. color is hard to capture

mysterious teal stag branching well.

SSC & Indo-SSC side by side

pearl berry

bought as red planet.

now for some colonies

tri-color valida, damn this grows really fast!

sky-blue tip green stag. fast grower too!

bali green slimer, went through a few fragging, still the biggest acro i have

Smooth skin mysterious acro. damn this is hard to frag due to its tabling nature!

pink birdnest getting nicer after dosing FM CE!

Teal millie

interesting piece. Acropora hyacinthus, bought light pink. day by day it got paler and greener. now its a solid green but new growth are white!

miyagi tort. this fella is hard to hold it's color.

purple bonsai, color seems to have lost a bit.

my current fav birdnest, the birds of paradise.

end the frags/colonies pic section with this. a struggling Kit kat (A.K.A acropora abrotanoides) that is battling STN issue for months. started from shaded area and spreaded to the front now its a goner.

now for the top view. made 2 frag racks to hold more frags as i found out putting them on the back sand bed is trapping a lot detritus!

my rock work ensures i do not see the frag rack when viewed from front.

Thats all folks! sorry for the load of images! hope you like it.

Very nice. Thanks for the update. Good to see the Acros are getting better and better coloured. You've got some nice SPS pieces for sure. :D

Great looking tank! I just did a re-start with my tank and got the same light. It's so hard to not get SPS after seeing your tank. Keep up the good work! Subscribe!

What is your alk?

im keeping my alk at 7 - 7.6dkh. once a week it rises to 8.2 after doing 5% WC with RSCP salt.

just got this jebao Dual controller from fishstreet a week ago. loving how it can control both wp-25 together and a single feed button stops both for 10 mins.

sump. bought some cheap feather duster and dump into a container of sand. see if they can survive.. i dun use a sock filter anymore so many it can filter some stuff out ( that sock u see at the back is cut in half so the micro bubbles dosn't splash everywhere)

end this post with a pic of my full set up.

cant believe its been a year..

Very nice update man. Good to see you've managed so far. Keep up the efforts, hopefully the SPS growth and colours will switch up a gear. Now that my tank is 1.5 years old, growth and colour is really taking off...different tanks take different lengths of time to hit that sweet spot for growth and colour.

I really like what you have achieved with this tank so far. You should be really happy. Keep the updates coming.

some photos taken today.

bought blue green, turns out purple !

my red millie growing really well, FM CE is coloring up this fella!

purple monster

tri-color valida

myagi tort
