Hi everyone!:bounce1:
After some time with my T5 setup Im getting tired of the yearly bulb exchange and since that time of the year is comming up I was thinking on investing in a new LED DIY fixture... The tank is a 130g, 55" x 23" x 23", with a variety of corals, from SPS, LPS, softies and a BTA, growth is good with the 6x54w T5 fixture....
The plan:
1:1 look (I believe this would be on the white side) with 60 XPG Leds or OSRAM Golden Dragon Plus cool white, && 60 XTE Royal Blue or OSRAM Golden Dragon Plus Deep Blue, all with 60 degree lenses... The whites will be running on a HLG meanwell driver as well as the Blues HLG driver and dimmed through a PWM microcontroller based circuit that will increment the light and decrement through out the day...
Here is a CAD of the light dispersion and the lamp itself:
The current fixture runs 3x ATI AquaBlue Special + 2x Aqua Blue Plus + 1x Purple Plus...
The tank is in Mexico, this is why Im considering buyng OSRAM since they have a seller here for Crees I would have to import them myself, the disadvantage of OSRAM is they dont come on stars so I would have to manufacture a PCB and pay someone with a superficial mounting machine to weld them on...
Please make corrections and ask anything, any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
