Flame Angel Food Recommendations

I have a mid-sized Flame Angel in QT right now and though it looks healthy, is generally behaving normally, is pecking at the rocks and offers at the food I add to the tank I haven't clearly seen it eat any food that I've provided. From what I have seen the bits of food it does offer at get spit out not swallowed.

I've offered the following frozen foods both soaked in garlic and without garlic:

Brine Shrimp
Marine Cuisine
Emerald Entrée
Blackworms
Chopped Scallops

As well, I've offered Cyclopseze flakes but again with no actual consumption that I can see.

Suggestions?

Try mysis, pellets and flakes of some variety. The fish taking the food and spitting it out is the first step to getting the fish to eat

My Flame took to spirulina flakes almost immediately, and prefers them to anything else to this day.

I'll have to try some pellets and mysis as I tried spirulina flakes but it shows no interest there either. I'll keep trying as one never knows when a finicky fish will change their mind.

If anyone esles has any suggestions I'm listening.

Thanks

Caviar? I know Dr. G has caviar (fish eggs) and oyster eggs. It's like crack for fish;) so much so that my mandarin loves it.

Frozen spirulina/algae cubes are good. Generally, brine and mysis are great to get a fish to start eating since they already look like a natural prey items.

No luck with mysis, spirulina brine shrimp, pellets or anything else I've tried. Will have to try a few more of the suggestions.

Thanks agin.

Centropyge angels eat algae mostly... try pellets or flake with spirulina in them.

Get some of Rogger's reef food, I've used this for flame angelfish when wasn't eating first few days adding to the community of other angelfish and tangs. Now eats everything from frozen to pellets and grazes all day.
