Interesting tank you designed. Looks to be around 260 - 270 gal, the variable being the angled center pane (don't feel like doing the trig). Did not much like the tiny little overflow for this size tank-- very inefficient... and needs to be bigger. So I started with the tank:

then got to thinking, a tank ain't much good if you don't have a stand, so I thought: What the heck-- this deserves a steel stand (well over built):

Of course, it is gunna need a sump, I just tossed this in, thinking of a more cleaver design, but ain't there yet, so for the time being:

I am really thinking, I got waaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooo much time on my hands, I need to find some construction, electrical or somekind of work... really slow right now...............

Oh, mods you may want to copy this to its own thread, on behalf of emilecilliers, since he is asking for design assistance, just a thought.

Redisigned sump puts the return pump in a better position:

The skimmer area to the right in the sump has room for a Bubble King 200.

Uncleof6 where is the canopy LOL!!

Thanks, I needed that--By the time this tank is built by Elos, a person would be out of money.....and could not afford a canopy and then the welder is another story.....:D Personally, it would be sacrilege to put a canopy over a black silicon, crystal glass, rimless custom tank, that just screams for aircraft cable suspended T5 lighting. I played with that thought, for a while last night. That would put enough light in the tank to make yer clams smile on the sandbed, and send yer softies running for cover. (no I don't want to get into that debate.) And designing the lighting would be a challange.... think I will run it past Grim.

What bothered me more, though was the weak link in the design. The back corner, and thinking the overflow might be a problem, along with the narrow top part of the corner. So I threw this in:

Wonder what this thing would really cost.....
