Full Tank Progression Shots

Keith:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, my all time favourite, here's somthing I'd like to get your thoughts on., I'm a halide guy, like you, with the LED craze going on and most likely just gonna get bigger., have you ever got the itch to give them a shot?, personally, I don't think they've been around long enough to know wether you can get that color from the most demanding sps, mind you, we all know it's not all about light, but it does help

I think I'll sit and watch for awhile yet.

Beautiful Tank!

Hey....I really appreciate the kind words! I have the same attitude about LEDs. I think they are intriguing but I don't think they are ready just yet to be the dominant source of light for a SPS tank. I am a Radium guy (have been for years) and it will be a while before I can get weaned off of those bulbs :lmao:

Awesome pics Reefbum!! I have been following your tank since you set it up and it's definitely been an inspiration for me.

I did have two questions for you. First, I have switched from two-part dosing to a Geo calcium reactor. My PH is running betwee. 7.8 and 7.9. I am wondering if you would suggest that I add a Kalk reactor to the system to get my PH up to the 8.4 range? I also noticed that you feed your reef Oyster and Roti feast. Can you give some details on how you feed this. Do you feed it with all the pumps on, when the lights are on/off, etc?

Thanks for the kind words! My ph is in the 7.8 to 8.2 range with the kalk reactor so it might makes sense to add one.

As for the reef nutrition stuff, I add it to a cup of tank water with 3 frozen cubes of fish food, frozen cyclopeeze and some Tropic Marin Pro Coral Zooton. I mix it up in a slurry and feed it with a turkey baster. Lights, skimmer and most pumps stay on (i do put my ecotech on the feed mode).

Congratulations my friend! Your tank is really outstanding.

The marvelous progression that has been made so far it is a bid deal for a reef keeper like you are.

I am really anxious for the future! I can't wait to see what comes next.

Thanks! I hope the reef gods continue to smile down on me!

Kudos for an amazing system ReefBum! Amazing! My wife said that she wants our new tank to look like yours :)

I cant tell from the latest photos, but did you get your blue-to-black gradient background sorted? I own a print company and we do motocross graphics, but I could certainly print that on vinyl for you. Challenging part would be an effective way to adhere it to the tank since the adhesive is on the 'non-printed' side.

Let me know if you are still looking and we can go from there.

Thanks! As for your question on the gradient, you may have me confused with another reefer. At this point it is hard to see the back of my tank :lmao:

Any chance of seeing those top down pics Keith, really would love to see some of the tank from above!

Thanks,

Jeff.
I have been away a lot so it has been really tough to take pics but I will try to do so in the next few weeks. Sorry about that.
