I took it apart and it is absolutely clean inside. It appears as if the motor itself just died. The impeller spins as it should. When I plug it in, I get nothing. No hum, vibration, or anything that would leave me to believe It is even getting power other than the fact I tried it in 3 different outlets around the house which were all verified as working. When I plug it into my kill-a-watt meter, it doesn't even register.
Shane called me back from Proline, and he's supposed to send me an email with a form for me to fill out. He said they'd send me a new pump out tomorrow.

These days it seems IF you have a problem with a BK, its fixed fast!

I saw the goldflake you posted in the Reef Fishes forum...do you have someone hanging on to that guy for you? What was your experience with keeping him with SPS (if you did)? Regardless thats a beaut!
Also, I dont remember reading it, but how would you describe your final biolaod (med., heavy, etc.)? I'm thinking about the BK200 INT, but I see that its rated up to 265 gals. My new system will have a large bioload and I'm thinking I might have to jump up to the BK200 Deluxe or Supermarin. Thoughts?

Austin I'm hoping to keep this tank medium bioload but that's easier said than done, lol.
I have no doubt that the BK mini will be able to handle a 265 total volume med to heavy .
Yes goldflakes are pretty friendly - I've kept every "non reef safe fish there is"
It's all what your comfort level regarding your sps. IME they don't do enuff damage to warrant them out of a tank.
For all we know its just part of typical reef behavior and everybody gets paranoic about a little nipping here and there.
Not enuff to cause severe damge!
