First the tank info..
150 gallon main display, 55 gallon sump. Reeflo Orca 300 skimmer. 14 x 36" 39watt T5s (72" Aquactinics Constellation fixture). Two Tunze 6105 pumps. Running Carbon.
Params:
Salinity 1.026
Temp 81.3
Ammonia 0.
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
pH 8.0
phosphate 0.5
calcium 420
alkalinity 11
My third gigantea is having issues.
First gigantea (purple) added to tank roughly 6 months ago. Doing great, has probably doubled in size. Color is beautiful, clowns love it.
Second gigantea (blue) added to tank roughly 4 months ago. It was bleached out and i decided to save it from the LFS. Took roughly 3 months to get it back into shape and colored up. Gave it to a friend, doing great in his tank.
Third gigantea (blue/purple mixture) added to tank two weeks ago. Not doing good at all. For the first week it would look great half the day and the other half of the day it would shrivel up. No gaping mouth at first. As of lately he has been half attached or barely attached to the rockwork, and shriveled up. Gaping mouth. I cant figure out what is wrong with him. I've fed him for the first couple weeks (I feed small pieces of krill soaked in selcon), he seemed to eat well but I just dont know what the problem is.
The third anemone was acclimated the same as my other two. Drip acclimated over roughly an hour, 4 or 5 days adjusting to the lights, low flow for the first few days to let him settle in.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
