Ginger works with ich... Every time I use it

When someone posts in a thread, the natural inclination is to judge the credibility of the post by the posters style and depth of understanding of the issue at hand.

Ya and if you try something and it work's

People have told me that changing the lights in their tank cured ich. This is the problem with inferring causation with correlation, it can look like anything works. This is where we get superstition from - if you throw salt over your shoulder, and there is no earthquake, it just doesn't follow that throwing salt over your shoulder prevents earthquakes.

There is no evidence that ginger did anything to ich, and your results happen with the same regularity as not adding ginger.

Ginger is by far the best way cure ich i bought a red sea sailfin starded noticing white spot on him started using ginger and he was pretty spotted up i also managed to catch him and freshwater dip him that really helped he got his color back n really seemed a little relived after the bath let's not confuse ginger with garlic ginger is used on humans to treat parasites internaly it also slime coats way more than garlic non visable in the tank but if you put your hand in the tank n wipe it with paper towel it almost looks tanning cream harmless to corals my pink cats paw actually brightens up a little when i put it in the tank ginger is your best option pass it on first time on the site hope this helps

So what i didn't punctuate you know how to read right

Your hand i said two months ago i purchased a circus came down with ick also treated him with ginger without being able to catch him and it has gone away and is also a good preventive to protect your other fish

Ya and if you try something and it work's

that last one is the only post under your name that i even remotely understood.

pass the advil, bill. :headwally:

We know how to read. We also know your posts are supercilious blather. You can read ;right? So read a little about the subject and spare the nonsense.

I'll agree it really doesn't matter if someone doesn't punctuate when they have nothing to say worth reading, anyway.

Thanks to Thales for picking up some of this ; some of us of us need a breather.

causation with correlation,

I've seen consequence and sequence work many times.

Light a cigarette , bad old days example, and the bus will always come right away.

Another: I test PO4 almost everyday and have for years; it never changes much but I know if I don't perform the testing ritual my tank will crash.

Nice; name calling really says more about the person doing it than the person(s) targetted .
Can't walk into a room with insulting poorly thought out repetitive arguments and commentary and expect hugs and kisses, ime. If you took the time to read the thread before jumping in like that everyone may have been happier.

Punctuation and proper use of capitalization, it's the difference between "Helping your uncle jack off a horse." and Helping your Uncle Jack, off a horse."

i.e. the problem isn't with peoples reading comprehension, but poorly worded posts that are difficult to comprehend.

This post made me LOL!

I always eat ginger snaps (yum!) before riding on a boat to prevent seasickness. I never get seasick. I have now proved that Ginger is a great anti-nausea preventative. Or, I have proved that if I eat enough ginger snaps, I will gain weight. And since I never catch Malaria (I go to some bad places), I have also proved that Ginger snaps prevent Malaria.

At least it's touted to help with nausea in humans . For the same reason I wonder what it might do to damage intestinal flora on some fish.

I am always reluctant to try human recipes on fish unless I can find information in the marine biology literature where cases have been tested.

I do actually do ginger snaps but I do not know if they work. I think that they work, but who really knows. Sort of like how you test PO4

Almost missed this one.

I'm the original poster. I've still never lost a fish when using ginger. Had a heater stop working and ich showed up on a tang, then a couple more fish.

It's been 10 months since you started using ginger .Why do you think ich is still in the tank if it cures it ,as you assert. When are you going to kill it?

Hey Steve, maybe if you put those ginger snaps in your ear , they will work better and get the vestibular fluid a bit more level in there. You'll never know unless you try it.

As for the phosphate testing, I was poking fun at myself and playing a bit , in light of Thale's efforts to dispel fear of PO4. He keeps a very nice tank with sps at PO4 levels that make many sps keepers wince. I don't know if that cures ich or not, though.

Now you tell me. Back in the '80's when I went to Hispanola, I was popping quinine pills to avoid Malaria. I would have preferred the Ginger Snaps :)
