gotta be a better way - how to feed

Happy Valentine's Day...

My wife is laughing at my nightly stripping to the waist to reach in the tank to clean, scrape and feed. I have long handle scrapers and tongs but when I need to feed the anemones, the only way to get the small pieces to the anemone is to reach all the way to the bottom...I am afraid to use a rigid piece of plastic tubing for fear of hurting the animal. The tank is 24" deep.
Any tricks I have need figured out?

I use a pair of bamboo tongs, think they came from an asian market, they work great.
Spot feeding nems is only once a week for me, they pick up food when I feed fish also.
At least it sounds like your wife is enjoying your hobby with you!

Do you have any clowns hosting the anemone?

I used to use a wooden skewer to feed, but now all I have to do it drop a piece of silverside or other food into the water, and my clarkiis fetch it and take it back to the anemone for me. It makes things a lot easier.

I also have a 24 inch deep tank and I got giant tongs that easily reach down into the depths of the tank with the handles still out of the water. Less likely to accidentally contaminate the water that way.

Hope this link works!

Mine used to feed it at one point but won't keep the shrimp from taking the food, so I started feeding it and now she won't at all.
I messed up huh?

I've been using the SeaSquirt (w/ feeding tip) to feed my blue carpet. Which of course is located on the very bottom of my tank. It can be used and you only get your finger tips wet. You might give it a shoot. My girlfriend feeds it all the time and has never gotten half naked to do so.............maybe I should take the SeaSquirt away!

I bought a pair of black tongs from lfs that goes to the bottom of my tanks..My hand gets a little wet on the 24" deep tank. I stick a silverside between the grippers with most of it haging out and stick in in the nem's tents close to the mouth then use the tongs to keep the clowns away until the nem has a chance to eat it...I use a wooden bob skewer to feed mysis shrimp to my smaller nems....just stick it and feed it
