This picture shows the growth my Heteractis magnifica has gone through in just under 2 months. First pic has flash the other does not for comparison.

What it looked like when I first got it.

Very nice.

Can you give us some details? where did you get it , lighting, flow, what are you feeding...

Thanks, Housed in a 300g tank with many large Angels and tangs. Click my red house above for more pics of the tank. Lighting is 3 250w 14k CV bulbs pendents. Also have Ice cap 660 running 4 URI Actinic. Flow Seq Barracuda CL on a OM 4-way all 1.5" outputs. My other closed loop is a Gen-X pcx-55Hp driving 2 penductors. Return is a Gen-X pcx40. I run a very large dual Beckett skimmer with 250mg/Hr Ozone with controller. I also run a 40 watt UV on this tank. As for feeding it gets a few silver sides soaked in selcon every week.

Amazing pics in your gallery! Your angels are beautiful. How quickly do French Angels grow. There is a beautiful juvenile at my LFS that I'm thinking about for my 105g and I'm wondering how long I would have before I would need to move him to a larger tank. I have a larger tank in the planning stages but don't have a timeline yet. Any suggestions on growth?

very nice!!! Looks like fireworks in the sky...the way the tentacles droop down over the clown! :D Erin

Thanks, Yes it does look like that now that I look at the picture again LOL. I had the pumps off when I took that pic doing a water change. Most of the time it is blowing around like crazy from the flow in the tank.

I have a regal who I suspect ate the tenticles off of my bta, but an Occilerous will probably defend a magnifica pretty well.

I'm glad to hear the flow is off in those pics. I was going to say something about the lack of flow, but didn't want to be rude :)

Thats a very cool setup. I looked thru your gallery and didnt see, what type of flitration do you have? I am sure its a huge skimmer?

Do Angels sometimes nip at anemone's?

Funny thing you mention that. Before this one I tried a large Carpet. Before going out of town I noticed my French was nipping at the mouth area of the carpet. Came home 10 days later to find the carpet was totally gone without a trace.
