Hardware & firmware wish list

So do I put that item down as one of the functions you would like to see then?

You know GHL listens to ALL your idea

Just updated to 4.00/4.0.0.3. I know this is a minor annoyance (at least to me), but it is possible to get the software to remember the column sizes in the 'socket functions' and 'programmable logic' screens. It's necessary to resize the columns to see 'description'...more so in prog logic screen. That works fine, but it won't save those sizes on restart. I would ask for full screen capabilities but I don't know if that would increase the size of those data windows. Either way would suffice. Just a thought.

Edit: Actually I guess it would apply in all data screens under 'Extras'

I have to agree....the software is growing in leaps and bounds and we're sort of running out of room in the window as it is.

Both GHL and us really appreciate comments like this, it shows that the product is going in the right direction and user requirements are being met.

I have been tied to GHL now for over a year in one form or another and put 90% of my daily work into supporting this great product, and I would not do that if I did not feel secure in the companies forward thinking.

GHL has got to be now the market leader for innovation and product growth/awareness in the aquatic controller market, and I think as you will see from releases in the next 12 months it will be hard for the competition to keep up.

GHL I am sure will have no difficulty in maintaining its strong market in highly functional controllers.

I also feel that when someone purchases a ProfiLux they are not just buying a controller but also thanks in main to this great forum, they are joining an exclusive club!

Thanks for all your support.

I've just had my Profilux set up for two days now,

One thing I think would be cool is a kWh tracker or meter.
It could be used to check for faulty equipment and allow the user to calculate electricity costs associated with the system.

Another thing that would be nice if you added LAN or a woreless connection to the EXtended Upgrade Kit.

Matthias it is posible to make more than one maintenance profile ?
I use feeding pause for feeding fishes, "Maintenaces" for maintenace :) but also for coral feeding and diffrent profiles will be nice.
Or may You make feeding pause longer than 20 minutes?

How about power consumption log? Let the user enter their kilowatt per hour rate and the unit calculates electricity costs per socket...

Probably needs to detect the consumption of what is being plugged in, but I'll let people smarter than me figure that out.

I think it would be nice to have an adjustable lockline mount for the Simu sticks simular to the spots. Available as an accessory for those who have pendant type fixtures and limited mounting options.

I will mock one up and post a pic.

How about packaging a unit specificaly for fresh water use. To my dismay the Extended expansion card my kit came with has a conductivity port that's intended for saltwater only, so I will need to order a freshwater conductivity card as well. I'm also wanting to add an oxygen expansion card and another 1-10v interface which leaves no room for a Lan card, or anything else for that matter. Perhaps an expansion card with both oxygen and freshwater conductivity could be offered. This would free up at least one port.

Maybe an Expansion Box with several slots for expansion cards that could connect to the main unit, maybe with the ability to daisy chain several of them together.

I could see using one box for sensor cards and another for 1-10v controllers, etc. Or a box for each aquarium all connected back to the same main controller.

Just some thoughts.

This controller stuff is fantastic. I'm like a kid with new toys. Just love it.

I am not sure of your location globally, but yes this is something we are doing in April for the North American market along with a kit for the hydroponic and reptile market.

In regards to expansion boxes, you can already network units together, this is explained in the manual.

For your situation i would advise on the EX upgrade kit, although this comes with a conductivity port i would have to check if an EX upgrade is possible for fresh water, I see no reasons why not. I will check for you though. If this can be achieved you will then be left with 3 free ports for all your add ons.

Basically all you are asking is available now we just need to ascertain if the EX upgrade can come with 2ms conductivity.

Moving your conductivity card on to another user really would not be an issue, there is zero ProfiLux gear on the pre owned market and I am sure it would get swiped very quickly.
