I live in British Columbia. My unit came with the Ex upgrade kit already installed. If the Ex upgrade kit is available for freshwater I would definately be interested.

The reason I was thinking of an expansion box only for plug in cards is because it would be relatively inexpensive. No need for buttons or display on the front. Just a bunch of slots and a port to plug back into the main unit.

I agree, I could purchase another controller for expansion but that would cost me around $465 for three more slots. Kind of pricy just so I can plug a LAN card into an already full unit.

Hey, the Profilux already has that feature! Press the "esc" button and the Profilux will go on feeding pause mode.

Ahh ha, I know what you mean now! Having said that, I too think there should be a feeding pause on that ViewII screen.

How about an interface to the Aqua Illumination LED light system or to the Solaris units?

The Aqua Illumination LED light system has a serial port which presumably could be plugged into the Profilux. They say it can be plugged into a computer and users, if so inclined, can program the light, though they have no software at this time for doing it.

So ... fingers crossed ... it seems controlling it from a Profilux would only (I'm a programmer so I know that's a big only) require that software routines be created as a firmware/software update for the Profilux with no new hardware needed.

Not as easy as it may seem, you would need to contact them and ask for pin outs etc and then send this to GHL via us, I some how doubt however they will provide this info but worth a shot.

I know i keep drumming for tunze controll additions, but i would like to have wave simulation during the day amd switch to surge at night and change intensity of surge during a storm. If there's a way to do it via logic or any other way PLMK.

It's possible in order to profilux ring to wake on system boot by RS232 interface (something like RS232 modem Wake On Ring) and later when windows load activate Power Control to for example send alarm mail if something wrong?

You can already program the profiLux to send email alerts

yes but is requires the Profilux Control to be installed and running on a remote computer and it has to be ON. THis would allow the Profilux to power up the computer :c)

I would still like better to see the profilux to be able to send the email directly...

I would like to see an expansion box. Rather than having to buy a second computer and network them have an expansion box that links to the main unit and give you more expansion module slots. I know I would like at least 2 more slots myself and i'm sure other would.
