Help...

At first I thought they were the good bugs, with the advice of some fellow RC'ers. I can't post pics due to size and p&s camera. Well after further digging I found out what this infestation is. Hydroids... here's a link http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchodds.html it's the one that looks like a snowflake stuck to the glass. Anyone have anything good to tell me, or advice ? There are thousands!!!!!!

There are posts about these all the time on RC. harmless, the population often explodes and then disappears depending on food & reproduction timing.
