HETERACTIS MAGNIFICA anemone

I have one, but let me tell you something first. They are very very hard to take care of! They need lots of random flow, lots of light, and lots of food, and very good water quality. They are good hosts for percs and oscellaris though, Not to mention they are beautifull. I would recommend maybe getting a BTA They are easier to take care of and are hosts for lots of clownfish, especially maroons.

get a BTA, cheaper, easier to care for, and great in a reef. they tend to run about 30-40$. host tomato, maroon, clarkii, and several more clowns. what is your lighting like?

i think the magnificas dont ship very well. it took me acouple of trys, but then i decided to find a vendor in caly that goes everyday to look at the new in shipments, and after about 4 months he finaly called, and said he picked one out of about fifteen or so. wow. so i think that says it right there. if you do try one make sure its healthy, and that you are knowlagable enough to care for it. like moonstream said, btas are cheaper, and easier. good luck.
