history of lunar's reef

Anyone know the name if the thick blue centerpiece Acro? It's gorgeous. Your tank is phenomenal!! This tank is the reason I bought an ATI 8 bulb fixture.

Omfg im drooling right now. Just went through you entire thread, what are u using now please give your secrets away to us less fortunate ones lol

Wow, end of the next month I am going to Warsaw.
I am speechless, fantastic colours of corals. What are your present water parameters?

Kind regards,

I have been running reef tanks for ages and there are no secrets. Think that love, intuition, routine maintenance - that's all.

What is your current filtration system?"¦
Any additives?.

Thanks

The same method, nothing new. I have been using NP reducing biopellets for 3 and a half years now. It's long enough to say they are the best method for me.
I add Fauna Marin color elements from time to time.

Did you use this?

Yes, of course ;) Some of my corals were fragged and they are still in my tank but I put new frags in as well. I like watching frags grow and become big corals in some time.

thanks for the update, looks like a lot of changes been made

Yes, I decided to rearrange LR, clean them and the the bottom of tank because there gets to be quite a build up of detritus, crap under LR after several years. At the same time I got rid of about 50kg of LR.

stunning !!!!

May I ask few questions?
- How can you keep your sand bed so clean? any trick?
- What Lighting system are you using, photoperiod , height from water surface ?
- Do you add any zeovit product especially spur2?

Truly inspiration
Thank you.

Thank you.
- I don't keep any cleaning crabs or snails, only two cleaner shrimps and two sand sifting sea stars Archaster typicus. During water changes I remove solid waste by siphonning. Think that biological balancy helps a lot.
- ATI powermodule 10 x T5, full lighting for 8 hours, blue lighting in the morning for two hours and in the evening two hours, 18 cm from water surface.
- I'm not adding any of zeovit products now.

Hello Krzysztof,
This new look is great but I liked the old look more :) Specially that green stag on the right that you had.
Anyways, what do you mean by removing solid waste by siphoning? Do you stir the sandbad with something and siphon it out?

Your name is analogous to one of my favorite filmmaker's name , Krzysztof Kieslowski .

Hello Shiladitya,

... and I like Old Delhi more than New Delhi :)
Big corals are more impressive, a tank always looks better. But I wanted changes, I couldn't look at the same tank for years. Sorry, but I was bored.
Wait a year and I'm sure you'll like this tank as well.
Now I don't have DSB, only a decorative layer of sand. During water changes I remove dirty residue from sand with a hose.
