history of lunar's reef

Definately one of the best reef tanks in the world. Great philosophy and of course huge experience behind this tank. Would love to see this tank in person as i am 5 hour trip away at most.

I am a loyal follower of you for a long time. Your tank is really very impressive. Can you please clearly write your bailing recipe, so all of us can learn something from you ?

Hello everybody,

I did what I mentioned earlier, so my tank isn't impressive just now. My corals need some time to grow a bit. I decided to gather acropora that I really want to have, not that I can have, hence some changes. But, if you want to look at it, here you are:

Looks fantastic as always Krzysztof. The angel is starting to morph! So cool. I am also curious to know what you 2 part recipie is.

My recipe is easy. I don't dose kh, ca, mg in equal quantities. I take 3 containers - 2kg of mg , 2kg of ca and 0,48kg of kh and mix them with 5 L of RO/DI water. I dose them solutions via Grotech Tec III. How much? It depends on consumption of each element by habitants of my tank.
What brand? Fauna Marin, because they have very pure, white products.

Thanks Kevin. My angel is superb, he is very voracious but doesn't nip any corals. I love him and he loves me, I think so. He is near front glass all the time and waits for something to eat :) I give him what I have the best.

Thats great, he looks happy and in anauarium like yours why wouldnt he be happy :)

Ive never understood why people dose 2 part in equal amounts. Certanly that does not work for me as the consumption is not equal. Maybe it is equal for others but not us haha

Wohoa, you removed your huge stag (amongst other)! Still an impressive tank IMO. Keep up the good work! BTW, do you have any close-up of that pink table in the middle? Is it A. hyacinthus?

Not exactly, I didn't remove it completely, you can see it on left back of my tank, but it's a frag now.

Hey lunar

I'm a huge fan of your tank. Your tank is truely inspirational. Quick question

How do you know how much BP to dose for your tank. Do you slowly add and observe or do you go according to your nitrate levels? What do you look for? Also, after increase your BP dose, how long do you wait to add more? I'm asking bc I was wondering how long it takes for the bacteria to fully colonize on the increased dose in an established tank.
