How long before 2 female clowns start fighting?

I just put a new larger (about 4 inches) occelaris clown in the tank with a 2.25 inch clown who recently lost his buddy. I'm watching to see if they fight. How long before I know if I have two females?

So far they are swimming together checking each other out and the little one is twitching a little bit. Just wanted to check because I would be heartbroken if I lose another and the fish store is willing to take the new addition back if there's trouble

If you have two females unless the adequate room they would become very territorial. How big is your tank?

Usually the larger female will show the smaller fish who is the boss. Might show aggression towards the smaller one. In my experience they usually get it all figured out in a few days.

It's a 34g Red Sea Max. I just wanted to double check because I will be gone most of the day tomorrow and won't be able to watch them. I figured they'd get rough with each other pretty quick if both were females, but I've never put 2 females together so figured I'd ask.

I was hoping the smaller fish twitching was a sign of submission and not stressing the new addition.

Yeah I have had a couple of pairs of clowns and they would swim next to each other kind of twitching kind of holding their ground/showing submission.
