Good timing. Almost the official end of our "Wet Season".

Been a good one this year. Over 3,000mm of rain.

Decent high tides as well. Tomorrow is 7.9m.

i have a question............does the corals remain alive even after the water levels drops down.?? ...........how do they survive when come in contact with the air for so long...???

question. I am from the states ans was wondering, if i was to take a vacation out there, would i be eligible to collect and would i be able to send stuff home? Not talking about truck loads or anything but a few things. prob a good box full. all for personal collection.

I get this question all the time.

Personally I do no think it would work. You have a think about the logistics involved. How would you do it?

I'm sure they are pretty strict about non-permitted harvest of marine aquaria species in Australia. Not to mention that transporting any animal besides a pet through customs is a nightmare if not prohibited outright.

Really don't think you'll be able to do it because of laws. Even if you could, you would not be able to successfully get anything home alive. You'd need to hold the stock in artificial seawater prior. You can't pack it in NSW and ship it home. Now if you can get Lewy to just pack up some stuff from his tank and send you home with it!!!:bounce2:

Not true. I brought 20 frags from fiji in small plastic containers in the 90's in 100% natural South Pacific seawater and most of those corals are still alive today.

Cool stuff, so is that krill or mysis in the buckets, how do you catch it? How do you prepare to freeze it?
