Husker 40 Breeder SPS Tank

Wow your Acropora are looking pristine sir!

Great choice on the lights also. I love the Hydra HD series and the ATI T5's.

Seeing tank pics makes your tank look much bigger than a 40 Breeder.

Thanks. The ATI T5 setup makes acropora so much easier. It seems like it is just hitting up the "color up" button.

I know you are in the middle of your Penisula build but lets see an update on here! Are you transferring everything from this to your 150g or going to have multiple tanks?

No multiple tanks for me! The plan is to keep this one up as I slowly transfer everything over to the new one. I have my rocks cycling in a tub, and by the time I have a stand they should be pretty full of bacteria.

I'all take a couple of photos tonight. It has been a while since taking photos for growth comparisons.

How's the dream sequience milli doing? I've been eyeing that pieces for a long time now and I think when I order my first pack with battlecorals that it will be in.

Post a picture of it!

Also what are you using for photos?

Hah... The dream sequence... It took a beating. It arrived looking quite nice. Red/pink with kind of a purple/blue tip and blue-ish polyps. It didn't seem to like my LEDs. I had an algae outbreak and needed to move it. It didn't like that. Then I had a turbo snail break it off. It didn't like that. It is now starting to recover, I think. It is certainly alive. However, it is basically a reddish brown with barely any polyp extensions.

I also think that BC shipment I got was a little premature-- my tank needed a little bit of maturing. The corals don't appreciate algae tickles.

Here are a few photos from today as a little update. Most things are doing pretty well despite benign neglect.

Some on this end are not looking so hot (they were moved a little too much)

Corals are looking really good!
Nice growth tips on many with bright healthy colour.
That benign neglect is working for you.

Thanks. Although, I think I need to watch my alk slightly more, especially with the changing seasons and reduced evaporation rates. I was down to 5.6, which may have been the cause of some of my r cent slowed growth and color loss.

I woke up this morning to one of my clownfish decapitated (mostly) and dead at the bottom of the tank. It almost certainly was my MP40. My clowns sleep right underneath it. Bummer.
