I think he means taking the rock out fist lol
Yeah (s)he assumed you'd figure that part out. :rolleye1:
Forgot you guys are from West Virginia :D

I have always wondered about uv light. My dentist has a UV light that shines through fiber optic cables. I wonder how far the UV from a UV steralizer will travel through fiber optics before losing its killing strength?

are you looking for something to put into the tank or to spot kill those things? If it is something to add to the tank, then it would need to be safe for all the life, and the only thing that is coming to my mind is fresh water. What if they were blasted with fresh water while adding it to our tank. Would that do anything at all? What about some kind of sand blasting, directly on the rock? Seems to me that anything that would be harmful to the tank and its animals would be a no go, stuff like gasoline, any kind of acid, things like that is no good. If it could not be added directly to the tank then it is useless, IMO. Keep us updated, you are doing a great job!

I figure some people out their are at their wits end with these things, Probably not the best solution but one i figure has to work. Trying baking the rock for a month or two.

Obviously most are not willing to rip down their reef and stick all their rock in drums for a couple of months.

Im tempted to get my brother to do this in his second hand 100g. Their is litrally thousands in his tank, some pretty big aswell.

It has come to a point where he is giving up hope in the hobby and surely a method like this is better than loosing another reefer to these rats of the ocean.

I know you are probably kidding but that is not the same spectrum. You can buy the actual kill spectrum bulbs at State Electric or WV Electric.

You would need to ask Mary that, I believe she helped with that experniment. I think they are standard Tanning beds though so thats alot of UV. Im not sure what this proves or anything but he's not joking and thats just sad IMO.
