Woooooohoooooooo! Keep us updated Mark!

Saw a decent buck at first light...too far. Nothing but turkey since him.

Good for you mark. Just took a shot at a six myself. Lot of hair though. Not sure. He was quite on edge walking through though.

Congats' Mark, hope to see another deer pic in this thread soon.

Saw more deer today than I have in past 2 seasons. Had something walk right by at 20yds while I was climbing up this am before 1st light. Then had a tiny doe run thru @ sunrise. Ran 100yds down, u turn, 100 yds back, u turn, 100 yds back the other way.

Heard a grunt behind me. Pretty cool. Never heard one do it before. I grunted back he grunted back and came in on a string from directly behind me. Walked by at under 5 yds. I let him get out in front of me on a hard quarter. "Bap " to stop and turn him. Blammo! Slick trick in right shoulder out by left front leg.

Ran about 60-70 and piled up. THEN I saw a big 8 over by where he went down. Had me wondering if I and that little doe were caught in their crossfire. Never know. Had a doe come thru after that and a spike creep up on me at 5 yards while I was dressing him out.

What a morning!

Nice Cully! I had an 8 come in and walk behind me. I couldn't turn and shoot around the tree and branches. It's all good. I have a great spot lined up that has produced a deer opening weekend for like 4 years in a row for next weekend. Nobody has even been within 300 yards of it yet this year, so it should be REALLY fresh for next weekend.

Last chance at bow for me. Taking my own doe restrictions off. Trying same spot as this am only higher on tree and on backside of it. Here's to hoping.

4 point down.I wasn't going to say a word until I actually recovered the deer. This time a waited a full hour +half.Even though I saw the hit and him go down 30 yds away ,always in the buck thorns.
Got a pass through about 7:30 am.Get a pic soon

Small fork horn but meat in the freezer.

Got a friend from work taking the grinds to make slim-jims that are pretty dern good too.

Pressures definitely off now, nice feeling, but I still have doe tags and shotgun season to go.

Good job guys. Wish I could've been out today, but haven't spent much time with my son since the season started.

Thanks guys.Still wishing the rest of you luck.

Ive definately had my share of mishaps this season. If you notice in the pic no camo.Yeah ,well thats because the deer jumped a drainge ditch and while I was trying to get back over it I fell in,soaked to midwaist and a boot full of muck but I managed to get him back over through the thorns and finally to the open path.Went home and changed.

Recipe sounds great Mark.Inner loins went in the pan last night, and jens got similar recipe's the awesome country girl she is ,cant wait to get to it.
