Not really sure where he's been but I'm guessing he got burnt out. That guy fielded everything from a ground ball to a stand up triple when it came to haddoni carpets. He always offered good advice and was never one to turn a silent ear to someone who was new to the hobby, no matter how ridiculous the question sounded. Anyway, I just think he deserves some credit. I mean just his efforts alone must of saved a few nems from a grizzly demise in the hands of a few ill-advised hobbiests.

I bought my light fixture from him a few years back. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He had back issues. Hope he's well.

His advice is what saved a completely bleached Haddoni that I found being held in a sump without light at another reefer's house. Went ghost white in the sump, and made a full recovery with his help.

Thanks guys -- means a lot, more than you know, given why I took a break from here.

Been posting here and there, but nearly as much as I used to. The back is actually holding up fairly well -- even did a 40 mile bike ride last summer and planning a 70 mile one for this summer.

Certain things came up that made me want to post less, but still fully in the hobby -- 3 tanks, 3 anemones, M. doreensis, E. quadricolor, and 1 remaining S. haddoni.

Good to hear from you, and to hear that your health is so much improved. I miss seeing your input too, but I can understand why you need a break. Cheers to your continued good health.

Thanks.

My back being better allowed me to do a once in a life time thing, the London 2012 Olympics -- 11 days.

Yeah good to hear from you and good to hear about your back holding up. Congratulations on the trip! Looks amazing!

Hi Todd
Oh that's terrific, glad to hear. I took time off too (year and a half) after my mother passed from cancer. It was like part of me went with her. I just back into to it. After a few years in mothballs, your 250 fixture is back up and running for 3 weeks now. As I was cleaning it up, I was thinking about you and your amazing tanks. We meet so many nice helpful people in this hobby, it a great community.

Todd is amazing :) helped me with my first few couple haddoni's and passed on alot of knowledge to me :) i was always PM him asking him questions, glad things are getting better for you, and you were able to do a once in a life time olympics, must have been amazing!

Good to see you Todd.

Kevin

Great to hear from you.

Thanks a lot Kevin and Minh.

Thanks for starting this thread. The trip was incredible, we were lucky enough to have 2 different couples living there (( both the woman are from the Chicagoland area and married English guys )), so it gave us free places to stay, the only way the trip was possible.

Hi Todd, good to see you around.

Thanks a lot Nick.

Glad you're back is better and I'm also glad to see you around.

Thank you Robin.

Good to hear from you Todd. Hope all is well. Stop by reef fishes too!

Will do, thanks.

Todd, bring your bike when you come visit. The Hennepin Canal trails are lovely.

Just looked at them on the map, looks pretty nice, and won't have to worry about much auto traffic.

Todd bet the Olympics were awesome! Totally an awesome experience!

Even got to hold a real torch,

Sorry to hear about your mother -- my aunt/god mother recently passed.

Wow, that old 250 fixture is still working? Think that was about 4-5 years ago when I sold it.
