Wow Bimmerz! What are you skimming? The Gulf?
:D :D From what I see, it just proves that John is spot on with rating these by bio-load and not just by how many gallon a tank is like a lot of skimmer do.

Do you guys think I would be upgrading if I went with the I-Tech 100 or 200 for my 75gal? I plan on moving up to a 150g tank in the future.

Tanks yall!

I would do the model 100 for that 75, you did check out the January TOTM didn't you....150G total systm volume and a model 100 cranking. If the 120G upgrade is in your future, depending on what type of bio-load you plan to have, the model 100 may be fine for it also but I alway's like to kick it up a notch.....when it comes to skimmer's. The model 200 should work for both tank's but you probably would need to skim really dry on the 75G. :smokin:

Cheers,

What's the smallest footprint the i-tech 100 (with the Tunze) can fit into? I've got 6 3/4" x 15" to work with in my current sump design. I couldn't tell by the pics how things orient with the skimmer and the Tunze. Thanks.

Cheers,

Very impressive!

Carpenter is coming tommorrow to fix my inwall stand, so I can get my 200 running this weekend.

TangTang I got the 200 for my 120 w 40 gl sump and 30 gallon fuge. I keep mostly sps and I want a bioload on the heavier side. If you think in the next year or so you might upgrade to a 150, go for the 200, this way you will have what you need already. Just make sure you have the clearance underneath the 75 stand if it is not custom.

Detail? What pw?
If it is the same one that my new 200 has, it is an ATB large purple pinwheel.
Here is a pic of the large versus small ATB purple pinwheel:

I picked up the small version for a mod project on my old Euroreef F1.

Question for the i-tech and aquabee users... Are you running full air or did you add an air valve (DAS, Deltec, H&S)? Also, how deep is your sump and where is the bubble breaking level within your skimmer? Trying to dial in my 100.

So what is the consensus of running the 100 w/Tunze on a 90G sps tank? I've been wanting to go with something smaller than my current WM to save some space, something in-sump would be great. Thanks for any help.

Blazer 88... no it is not undersized. I run one on my 90. It pulls about 2X as much dark skimmate as my H&S did.

I believe this I Tech Skimmer is one of the best investments that I have made for my tank. I would not trade it (the skimmer) for a 1K KZ, ATB or other skimmer.

you think keeping the meshmod sedra 2500 from my rs100 and adding it to a i-tech 100 would yeild a performance gain?

also whats with the seems? why are they using an adhesive instead of chemically welding it?

They hot weld it I believe. If there are any formed parts from mold there may be a seam.

Thanks for the confirmation. I contacted John and gave him my info to be put on the wait list, hopefully he'll get the Tunze pumps in so I can get the skimmer and replace my WM.

Just got my 100 with the Tunze Hydrofoamer this week. Here it is less than 3 days out of the box:D
