I just put my Eheim 1260 pump on my 200, works great. It was easy to do.

IMO , you can't beat an I-Tech . Plug N play , they skim like a beast , easy to clean , built like a tank , made in the good old U.S.A. , and customer service second to none .
Do you plan on getting a bigger tank in the future? If you are you probably better of holding on to it? Is it not skimming correctly? What corals and how many fishes do you have?

My shaft broke on my Sicce pump for my 200 What are my options?
My Eheim worked great until I tried to adjust it and it started to resonatate and I could not get it to stop. So I will have to work on that some more.

Thanks bolo I called John but they do not carry them anymore Tunze only now ,but he did let me know where I could get them.

I just upgraded from the sicce to the tunze on my 200. How does it connect? I see there is a hose with a silencer on it, but does this get attached to the riser tube of the skimmer or do I just use the hose? I attached it with the silencer and it is dead quiet but I wanted to make sure I have it connected properly.

Thanks Typlus5 I have an earlier model the Tunze was not out yet, I kept waiting for it but the first models (tunze) had a defect so I just pulled the trigger and got the one with the Sicce, yeah its a bitter pill to swallow but it is will worth getting the Tunze, I don't know if it is performance improvement, I know the quality is better.

When I swiched the foam production was more consistant, I got more bubbles in the body, not to mention the tunze is way quieter and think less wattage. You got the "bitter pill" to swallow right!

I just bought the i-tech model 200 yesterday and when i looked at it this morning I already have major skimming. I think I am in love.

Everyone system is different. I would set it on the second dot and after a few days if the foam doesn't reach the collection cup just starting tweaking up. I recommend doing this process slowly. During my breaking period and learning to tune it I rush it and my skimmer became a water cannon. :lol2: Take your time and once it is dial in you can leave it alone.
Probably for tanks that are bigger then 500 gallons.

The “Super Beast” or XL model is an external recirculating skimmer driven by a Dart Gold with a custom venturi and impeller. Currently, the pump draws ~3000 lph at 153 watts with a Dwyer meter attached. When the meter is removed the wattage drops to 143 so I believe the skimmer is actually pulling more air during normal operation. Features include; valved collection cup & body drain, controllable bypass loop for more stable foam production, cup-neck to base dissembles with stainless steel thumb screws, air suction silencer/muffler and the supply water is feed through the recirculating pump. This skimmer took nearly 12 months of design, construction, and tweaking to make me happy.
