I-Tech Skimmer Club .

Just purchased a 200 for a tank I dont even have yet, much less even ordered at this point.

John has been great to deal with!!!

No nanojg i am 4 in line for the 100 , go with the i-tech and i just got rid of my 160 to make room for the i-tech on my 60 gallon

Rennsport, I'm in the same boat, but at least I have my tank on order. My 200 with Tunze hydrofoamer is sitting here waiting patiently.

Are you guys cleaning the entire neck or just the portion inside the collection cup?
I clean the every part of the collection cup, top to bottom. I guess that means the whole neck.

I have been cleaning the cup and neck also. I also noticed dark skimmate the first week and now it has lightened up. No noticeable differences in the aquarium though.I am set just to the left of the third dot and the water level also covers the output of the tee.

I wish I would have known about the Tunze pump before I ordered my model 200 a couple of months ago. I am not real happy about the Sicce pump being so temperamental.

lets see some updates my fellow reefers.

this hobby is an addiction, and nothing stops the withdrawal better than a good "NOG" shot. so please lets see some pics.

Still trying to dial mine in. I have it in 5 inches of water, My dumb a#$ built the sump an inch off the ground and measured the water level from the floor when building my eggcrate stand for it.

I have a 120 g tank and use a standard 55 gallon as a sump.

What is the footprint of the 200 with the pump?

I found these specs on the i-tech forum - Are these the up to date specs, suggested pump and price(s)?:

Model 200 Cone Skimmer
Cone Base: 8"
Cone Neck: 3 ½”
Overall Height: 23” (needs an extra 1/2” clearance for cup removal)
Footprint without pump: 11 ¼” x 8 ½”
Recommended Pump: Tunze 9420.04
Inlet: ¾” thread PVC pipe
Recommended water level: 6” to 7” (a stable water level will increase performance and decrease adjustments)
Body Price: $400 (pump and venturi purchased separately.)

Recommended pump

Tunze 9420.04 Hydrofoamer
Needle-wheel impeller
Skimmer and pump footprint: 13” x 11”
Airdraw: 900 lph @18w in 6 ¼” water depth.
Tunze 9420.04 MSRP $187.83 (Includes pump, needle wheel and venturi)

This pump pushes the maximum amount of air and water the body can handle. Very fine adjustment is needed to prevent overflowing and a stable water level is a must. Nearly silent no suction noise when attached to included muffler. No alteration of the pump is needed. Limited availability at this time.

I just joined the club.

I ordered a 400 W/Tunze 9420.04 Hydrofoamer's, Collection Cup with Carbon Holder, Ozone port and a waste collector drain.

John just fired it up and sent me a few pictures, he wants to run it a few days before he ship it to me. I cant say enough on how smooth and professional John and Chris were, I got this ordered with a couple emails and only called today to give them my credit card info.
Looking at the large pics John sent me it seems that Chris did a amazing job building it, the welds look perfect, I cant wait to get my hands on it.

Just turned on
