FeedBack Gladly Accepted AND Appreciated !!!!!
Although the benefits of living in northwester Arizona are many, finding quality vendors and suppliers is not.
If anyone could provide me with some suggestions on vendors/suppliers for clean up invertebrates.
I recognize that I will have to ship however, I am more concerned about the inverte livestock getting here aliver versus the small differences in shipping overnight costs.
Again....any suggestions will be appreciated.
Regards,
DesertJon

DesertJon you might want to search the clubs forum and find a local reef club for your area---they probably would be glad to help you out

Hey guys,

First time on here, same old same old.. have had a 20 gal. FW for 3 years . moving up in the world to SW, been reading all the newb stickies about setting up my first tank, really, really helpful. I'm down in Miami near Key Biscayne, and i'll be on here a lot as I start up my tank!

suggest you start your own build thread Joey. That way when you ask questions people will be able to see them right away. Posts on long threads like this tend to get lost really easy with the amount of membership and posting on here

Hello everyone on RC! I'm very excited to be joining - it looks like this is a great source of information!
My name is Lizz - I currently live in Rochester, NY and am starting my very first SW tank - 29g.
I'll probably be posting here often because I have SO many questions!

Lizz [welcome] I just drove partway up to Rochester, well I only went as far as Scarsdale but it is in that general direction.
Glad to have you here
Paul

I dont think I have ever introduced myself but here I am. I have been doing fresh water tanks since 2001 and saltwater since 2008. Even though it is an expensive hobby I think it is a fun hobby that is always changing.

I also wanted to say thank you for a very informative site.

Hi,
I have FW tanks for some 10 years and now I'm thinking about a 50g SW, so I came here to dig in the loads of info that you have around here and, of course, to pester reefers with noob questions

Hi, I just signed up today. I've been doing freshwater for a lot of years but really want to get a reef tank set up. Just doing my research now and am amazed at the wealth of info here. Hopefully I'll know what questions to ask when I need to ask them.

Howdy Everyone!
I've been a member for a week or so. I got my 1st tank for my b-day when I was 11 or 12, and the rest is history. I was hopelessly and permanently smitten by the wonder of it all. I got my 1st reef tank about 3 yrs ago--a 125 DAS, when a dear friend up and GAVE it to me! Then last year, about 12:30 am one morning, it sprang a leak and I had to tear it down. I found a good deal a couple of weeks later and that is the tank that I have now.

I found RC by reading threads doing skimmer research. Because of words of wisdom by "mojo" and Jeremy of PA, and many others, I came here and now think of it as my "reef home".

Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this fine community. I look forward to learning from and serving others.

Hello All,

My name is Fred, I am 44yrs. old. I have kept FW often over the years. But 2 years ago I decided to buy a 72 gal. bow front and all that the LFS said I would need to get started (yeah, he had that right "get started"). I had been on RC researching before but never joined. But was looking on Craigslist for a larger tank & a local guy had a smaller tank for sale, so I called & went to look & we talked saltwater forever. But he told me I should join. So hear I am.

Even though I have been in this for 2 years now, I am still a newbie and looking for all the help I can get.

Anyways...that's about it for now....nice to be a member!

Hi Guys..

I am Mithun .. from calcutta, India. I am a freshwater hobbyist.since last 15 years (i am 26 years old). Since last 3-4 years i have been keeping couple of planted freshwater tank as well.. I am totally new to saltwater. Made a 20 gal tank with a 20 gal sump under that :P.. now i am swimming in unfamiliar water :P i have been basking in the beginner forums quite sometime now.. so now i think i am qualified enough to introduce myself here.. i need a lot of things to learn from u guys..

most of the stuffs of saltwater are banned in India.. including live rocks/live sands and almost every kind of corals the govt could identify.. leaving aside only a few button polyps and LPS. But you know things pass through.. but really difficult to get ur hands on.. specially if u are a good ol citizen :P

anyways.. good to be here

I am new to salt water. I have a 130 gallon tank I am looking at the AquaC EV180 Protein Skimmer. Can someone help me on how to size the intake and the return line from the overflow tank? What should the volumn of waterflow be for this size tank? Thanks for any help
