If You Are New to Reef Central, Introduce Yourself Here!

Hey

Hey

Hello I am new to R/C and new to the hobby. I have a 80 gl mixed marine tank. I live and work in Saudi Arabia but am originally from Alberta Canada. I have been learning as I go and luckily have only had a couple set backs. For some reason I am not able to post on any of the discussion threads. Any idea what is wrong? I have already learned a lot from reading some of the threads. This definately looks like the place for answers from people in the know. Anyhow as soon as I figure out the whole posting thing you all can expect a bunch of newbie type questions.
Ciao 4 now:thumbsup:

hey whats up everyone! im totaly new to the whole reefing society, so new that i dont even have a set up yet....but thats only because im waiting to get some input on that things i should get to set me first tank up. I have been a daily visitor to this forum reading everything from newbie question/guides to drooling over other's setups. Hopefully i get some ideas in the next week or so and i can get my set up going.

Hi! I'm a also new to reef aquariums. I've been lerking on this forum for 2-3 years now and I've finally settled down long enough to start this hobby. I'm originally from Toronto, Ont and I recently moved to Hong Kong/Shenzhen. I'm in the initial planning stages of a 55in long, possibly 110gal mix reef with sump and refugium. The setup is not finalized coz I'm taking my time to plan and custom build my tank.

This forum is so resourceful! Thank you in advance for being patient with my most likely noob questions!

Hey to all, I just joined the forums tonight. I had a tank and worked for a reef store approx. 17 years ago. I have been out of it for 15 years and am now in the process of setting up a 30 gal reef.

Hello..I am new to the hobby as well. After years of admiring saltwater reefs (scuba diving) and their animals I've decided to get up the courage to start one of my own. I grew up in sunny southern California and have since moved to the frozen tundra..also known as Minnesota so it will be nice to have a piece of home with me. Reef tanks (and saltwater in general) always been more intimidating for me compared to a freshwater tank, but now that the hubby and I have bought our house and won't be moving its time to start my tank

You will find lots of changes in reefing since 17 years ago but at the same time you will find that the basics have not changed much at all
