It begins... 345-gallon Starphire in-wall system

BM 250 just arrived and has been unpacked. Just giving it a warm vinegar bath. The wife thinks I'm nuts!!! :D

I'll post some pics in a bit.

Skimmers hooked up and it's a beast!

Nice packing Greg...but where's the chocolates?
That's a 12" ruler for scale

The GACK from the ER is less than 24 hours. Cleaned it last night.

Bathed, put together and ready for install

I am very pleased with the build quality. Apparently there were some issues with earlier releases but I think they have most of the bugs worked out. The seams are neat and of good quality overall a solid unit.

I'm in Ormond and would love to host a meeting sometime this year. Still have a few things to sort out and tidy up but once that's done I'll make the offer.

Here we are at 40.5 hours. Not much of a break in period IMO. I think the vinegar bath helped. Overall I'm very happy with the performance so far. :D

Haven't had to adjust it at all. It's currently set at the lowest water level setting.

Not seeing any feeding issues at the moment but I've had a filter sock on the last 2 days. Going to clean the glass now and remove the sock later so I'll have a better idea tonight.

Nice thread. I just found out about it. Your stand and the front look of the tank look great.
