Powder blue a trade in at the LFS added Monday

Well, everyone's in even the fish from my 125. The Powder Blue seemd to be the bully of the lot. He's got the 4 female anthias and my cbb bailed up in a corner. Hopefully things will settle down overnight. We'll see how things go. The elegance has opened up. I'll try feeding it tomorrow after it settles in.

My buddy didn't show tonight, so I'll have to try and figure out where to put the rest of the corals tomorrow. They're all in the system now so I'll treat for the redbugs and then transfer the shrimp etc after that's done.

Still have a bit to do so more pics tomorrow.

That's one advantage you have with a longer tank versus a deeper one, fish like that naso seem to get along better in the longer tanks.

I had also heard that about the powder blue tangs, that they were real bullies.. which is a shame as it is one fish that we would like to have... but not sure if it will work out or not (when that time finally comes for us to start adding fish :)).

All citizens seem to be getting along well and eating today. Just setting the pecking order yesterday.

My screen saver is a cbb followed by a few yellow tangs and they were doing that this morning pretty cool.

One distressing problem. When I was moving everyone from the 125 I couldn't fing my mandarin. I've looked everywhere. He was there before I took the lights off. He was my favorite. Hopefully he'll show up this weekend when I break it down in an overflow or the sump.

What type of glass cleaning magnets are you folks using? I also have a piece of acrylic on the back panel that I don't want to scratch up. Any suggestions? Currently using a mag float but would like something a bit stronger to help clean the edges of the frame that will hold tight through the wood. The mag holds, just not tight enough.

How do you like the tiger shark? I know you can get glass and acrylic pads for them I've been considering but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Oh wait...I'm taking cleaning magnet advice from a guy who never cleans his panels! :crazy1:

Never seen a mighty magnet. Got a link?

Just a quick update, sorry no pics.

2 of the 4 anthias didn't make it. One was suspect when I put her in and the other was never really swimming around. The PBT didn't help in their recovery either.

The elegance is not looking well at all either. Don't think it will last the week.

I also lost one of the two sea cukes. Not sure why on that one.

Everything else is looking great though. The fishies love the flow of the vortechs. They play in it all day, swimming straight into it and turning sideways being pushed away.

Got a nice cup coral today from my LFS. Acclimated and mounted, opened up nicely.

I'll try to get some closeup pics of corals and that shortly, maybe you can help me identify some of them, Latin's not my forte.

Reefgeek light order arrived today. Thanks Greg. BTW I'm not a big milky way fan but I did enjoy the snickers. I'll be adding a couple of more T5's to the frag tank tomorrow and the BM 250 should be here on Thursday.

Hey Jonathan, or anyone else, can you shed some light on the magnet cleaner question above?

Tiger Shark is the Mother of Alll Magnets IMO. I have two of them for my main tank, but you must make sure you are buying the correct magnet for your type of glass and thickness.

You can check out Mighty Magnets also for interior scratch removal kits. Steve Weast is the one who turned me on to them and they have a nice product. And of course, don't forget about the Therme Aglae Terminator.

did you find your mandarin? I had the same thing happen when I moved this summer. It was there before I started removing fish, and I never saw it again, not even on the carpet:(

No not yet, but I haven't broken the tank down. The thing that really annoys me is that I've been looking for a female for him for the longest time and I got one 2 days before I coudn't find him.

I have a PBT and he don't bother anybody! they are supposedly the 2nd most aggressive - right after the sohale tang s... maybe i'll try addingt he sohale since the PBT is great.

I also have a Tiger Shark - they are great! & they loook a little more classy than the white/green plstic ones since they are a nice wood.
