Yes I use 5cm x 5cm ceramic tiles from hardware store... just flip them over and use adhesive on porous side :)

Awwww shucks. Low nutrients is the key.

This is definitely a desktop photo. Beautiful.
Thanks Newbie, I have been meaning to look through your TJ lately but honestly I only have 1/2 an hour spare each sunday lately as I have a 9 month old daughter.

awesome coral man! but IMO sand would make it look just perfect.
Thanks rpjaws. Trouble with sand is it traps detritus, and nutrients, resulting in less that perfect water quality IMO.

Stunning setup, how many yellow tangs do you have? I see 2, but I've heard they don't do well in pairs.
There used to be 3 yellow tangs! one died mysteriously after 12 months living together as a trio.
As long as you add them at same time and they are of similar size they are usually OK.

Hi Everyone. Well it’s Sunday night again!
Tank is going great, and I’ve figured out a great dosing regime for lanthanum lately that keeps my po4 very stable at between 0.01 -0.08
In past have had some issues with po4 always creeping down to undectable, which is oddly enough no good for the various encrusting montipora. They tend to go very pale, and if exposed to 0.00 Po4 for prolonged periods of time, will actually die. Unlike the Majority of the Acropora species, that show ill effect from regular undetectable Po4 events.
These photos were taken last week on my Canon 7d, with a 17-70mm F1.8-5.6 lens
Since these photos were taken I have actually purchased 3 new colonies whilst I was at Reeflections, as I had a small area to fill since I removed a large montipora.
I am just colouring up these new beauties now, and I will hopefully have some new Photos of them in the next couple of weeks or so.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I know how family life is Jason. You don't owe me an explanation. By you mentioning to look at my build is an honor and good enough in my book.

I had a few hours free tonight to get the camera out. Enjoy.

Tank has been running a dream lately.

last 18 months only 20 (TWENTY) ltr per week water change required. I have never done more than 50ltrs in a week since tank started!
Weekly skimmer cup clean
Daily visually check CaRx effluent rate is still as I set it, if slowed, test alk and reset effluent rate
bi-daily 0.33ml LaCl dosing

I removed a large purple tipped stag from rear RHS this week. Was easily over a foot tall and a couple kgs. It was getting to large, and I needed the space.
It wasn't a bad stag, but to be honest I had it colored up as much as it was going to get, and I have a piece of Rod the Reefers "Real Teal"stag that is now getting fairly large and needed to go in its place.

Hi Jason, love the tank and love the bb! Could you show us a pic of the sump, and maybe add some details on your husbandry? Thanks so much, and keep up the good work!
