So.it's going to take 3x as much to match the non CR stuff in terms of lanathanum content. The extra dilution is probably just water.

I dilute mine even more than that, more like 1 mL to one liter of water. On a 300 gallon system I run 2 Liters/2mL of it every month to keep phosphate in check and GFO keeps in check throughout the month. I just like to target .03-.05 ppm as it's a mixed reef.
That being said, if it's not your only Phosphate export mechanism, assume 3 mL every couple weeks. 1 bottle is a Quart of 946 mL. 78 mL/year based on the above regimen and your looking at 12 years!
I'm currently adding 600 gallon DT and plan on dosing LaCl into my skimmer I picked up last weekend and then running a 10 micron filter sock on skimmer outlet so I'm sure precipitate is pulled out.
That being said, if it's not your only Phosphate export mechanism, assume 3 mL every couple weeks. 1 bottle is a Quart of 946 mL. 78 mL/year based on the above regimen and your looking at 12 years!

thank you very much for your reply, my Po4 is very high at 0.6 but my SPS seem to be used to it but I am concerned if I add any "new" SPS. So Do i need to be careful i dont remove it to quickly and whats a safe amount to start with?

That is quite high and think you'd see much faster growth rates in your SPS if you get that number down! You are right to have a concern about dropping the phosphate too quickly. I'd go with a 1mL/1L solution and do that first time as a benchmark and see what your phosphates go to. If you drop them "too quickly" then you could have a zooxanthellae bail out! Problem is defining what's "too quickly" so starting small and working your way towards a more ideal phosphate number and watching your corals should be the goal.

So plan is.... 1ml/L over a 1 hour period test before and after and see what the difference is, i will use a 10 micron filter sock on the outlet from my skimmer (as this is gravity fed and pushes approx 4000 ltr/h) and drip into that.

Done a bit more research to the above product and it seems reefers in Australia use it.

sorry to keep asking questions, but can somebody please advice? As my Skimmer (deltec 703) is gravity feed from the DT, am I ok to drip the Seaklear into the skimmer directly then use a 10micron filter on the output on the skimmer or should i just drip the Seaklear directly into the sock on the output from the skimmer.

I wouldn't drip LC into a nice skimmer like that, you will get crystallization inside the skimmer which may be difficult to remove in hard to reach places. Better to drip directly into a filter sock IMO

I have never dripped LC into a skimmer. I've dripped into a Diatomaceous Earth pool filter and later into a filter sock. When I used a filter sock I noticed crystallization occurring on the glass walls of the sump where I was dripping, which I scrapped off regularly. Those crystals will form inside your skimmer.

I will drip into the filter sock, the only slight issue is if any escapes from the sock it wont get to the skimmer before it goes through the DT. but I would expect that to be minimal?
