Lawn Shrimp???(Amphipod)

My wife and I bought a foreclosed home and have been renovating it for a few months. The other night I was installing laminate floors and noticed what I thought was a amphipod jumping on the floor. After further investigation I was sure it was one.....Looks identical to the ones in my tank. So I went online and discovered Lawn Shrimp, anybody have the same strange experiences with them?? They appear to be the same creature, free food??.......Guess I'll find out. I'll snap some pics tonight.....
