not funny at all ~ really i have enough . just kidding but i will be on the list of successes with the choati leopards in the year 2010 if it kills me . still getting stuff together for my monster tank and at that point in time they will have a very nice place to hang out .time will tell................

Have just come across this thread, haven't read it all but will. Hope what I post below is still on track.

In my tank I have Macropharyngodon bipartitus, choati, meleagris and geoffroy. The choati I have had from around 15 months, geoffroy for 12 months and the meleagris and bipartitus for about 20 months.

I am do want to try adding some other wrasses such as another potters but they are hard to come by in the UK.

My tank is a reef, just under 1000l and is two years old. All the wrasses were purchased from my LFS and went straight into the tank. I found the hardest to feed was the choati, took 3 or 4 weeks before it touched anything.

Congratulations Matt G! Nice set of leopards. The choati was eating off your live rock or it would have perished. My pair love PE mysis and hunt all day. All my leopards are in my smaller tank which is about the same size as yours. Good leopards are not all that easy to find here in the States either.

Thanks - It was pecking at the rocks but got really skinny, I tried feeding it loads of different foods and then it suddenly took a mysis and touch wood hasn't looked back. I will try and put some pictures up.

Thanks for the comments guys. Have just read the entire thread, very interesting. I will add that I have a sugar fine sandbed and my wrasses tank mates are Achilles Tang, Majestic Angel, Yellow Tang, Sailfin Tang, pair of mandarins, pair of clowns, pair of carberryi anthias.

All my wrasses were added directly to the DT.

I have just had a call from my LFS to say that they have today got in 2 x potters and 2 x choatis. I will be going later today to have a look but in two minds at the moment on what to do. Even though I have been saying for ages that I would like to increase my collection I am not sure it is the right thing to do.........will update later on what I decide.

I find it hard to tell with the potters. They are fairly small, beautiful.........and in my tank now!

Really couldn't resist, saw them take brineshrimp in the shop and went for it. The only thing giving them grief is the leopard, but the original larger potters seems to be stay close to ward the leopard off. It is not giving them any hassle.

Initial signs are good and they are swimming around, fingers crossed. But know it could be a bumpy ride!

I also reserved the choati, so if that is still looking good at the weekend I will add that also, that is a female.

Took some pics, will try and upload them shortly.
