Here's a pic of my leopard. Had her over a year now. She's always been the fatest in my tank.

send me a dozen ! they looke awesome ,what did you use for bait ? nice catch i might add .

Yeah I am really pleased with them, wish I could get them that easily, it has taken me a year or so to get hold of them. Now if I only I could get them to breed:eek1:! actually should probably be happy with getting them to feed first! They stayed out for about 2 hrs last night after being put in the tank, which was longer than I thought they would. They appeared to like the exisiting one being in the tank and kind of taking care of them. They shot off to bed no long after he did.

Not gonna lie Matt, I'm pretty darn jealous.

Don't be, well at least until they are established:p. Didn't see them this morning before I left for work. My original 4 got up between 07:30 and 07:45 as normal, I was surprised my choati did that as it had a late night! Hopefully the new additions will join the routine shortly. It's great to watch them emerging from the sand each morning.

I won't crowd this with too many updates. But I am please to say both are out and eating, sticking together most of the time as well. Added some frozen cylop-eeze to the tank and they seemed interested, thought I would try my luck with flake, both took some and spat it out. Added frozen mysis and brineshrimp and they both took it.

One has developed a slight mark on the side, but that might be from a fight with the leopard, which is still taking an interest but nothing like it did last night.

Still a long way to go but a good start.

OK, QUICK RESPONSE NEEDED!

thanks!

I'm thinking of getting 2 more female MM Leopards from LA.
I would order tonite for saturday.

My tank can handle the nutrients.

I think that would put me above my limit on fish room, though.

It's a 4 footer, 85 gallon.

I have 4 wrasse (the flame, Melanurus, Christmas, and MM)
2 false perks
Red Dragonet
2 gobi's

what ya think?

It would probably put you over your threshold... especially with a Christmas wrasse in there, those things get nasty!

yeah, I'm thinking.

The Christmas Wrasse is a full grown, mature male. He harasses, but not too much. He's the boss, harasses, but just when it's too much, he leaves everyone alone. He's beautiful, too.

Thanks!

yeah, I'm maxed out on pod eating fish, although I do keep a decent population. I learned a lot about that from keeping pipefish for years.

no sense upsetting the delicate balance.
Thanks!

I got an Indian ocean ornate leopard wrasse on January 22, 2010, and I haven't seen him once since he arrived after acclimation where he dove into the sand.

Is there anything I can do for this fish? I don't want him to starve to death in the sand.

I had the lights off the whole time during acclimation and for the day. Perhaps he doesn't know when the lights are on. Could I gently probe the sand bed with a rod during the day?
