Thanks will do!

This guy just sat there watching and looking around all day. Then hit the sand once the lights went out. Well see if / when he pairs w the female.

She usually comes out around 3 right now for a couple hours. She's still adjusting lol

A friend sold me his. Its a female. Not sure of species. He had it for six months, now I've had it for 3 I think. It only hides at night. Eats like a pig. Annoys the heck outta my gobie as it tries to share its burrow. I have a 55g. Mixed reef only 7 months old.

Uhm.. Well that's all I can say for now

Lol nice!

What no pics?! Haha

hey Ralph the kuiter's look great ! i had two females and they both somehow got behind my fake rockwall background and i could not get them out so they passed away . going to be rebuilding the rock wall so it can't happen again as i have lost five fish and 20-30 snails and crabs behind this wall of terror . cant wait till i get to rebuild it .

thanks for sharing buddy !

OK, so I have had a female Meleagris in my fuge now for a number of months. Eating well and looking quite healthy. I had been quite reluctant to move her into the DT because I have a large Dusky and was concerned about bullying. Fast forward to this weekend, was doing a tank changeover so thought it would be a good time to move her up. Dusky has been going after her big time. Interesting because he has been a pretty calm fish. Can I expect this to calm down or will intervention be required?

That sucks! GL with the wall in the future.

thanks for all the information in this thread. these will be my first leopards for my 265 and i'm pretty excited. picked them up from DD a couple days ago. i just couldn't pass up a DD trio of bipartitus (two females and one male).

hopefully i'll have better luck than some of the bad i've been reading about for the past month since they've been there for a few weeks and eating well transitioning into captivity. i'll post up pics when they arrive. here's the DD image from a couple days ago when i got them.

How has this gone? You will probably have to move one if it doesn't stop. Is he cornering the MM or bullying enough to force her into the sand?

Just an update my transfer to the 200 DD went well for all three leopards. Only one took advantage of the tupoware sand, the other two I had to catch the hard way a second time to move them over.

Of all the fish I had a melanurus that had just turned male recently. I have no idea where he is. I checked floors, sumps, overflows, sand in the old tanks and after a couple days in the new tank I checked the tupoware of sand that I thought I had used to move him over, but he was not in it. This guy, like my leopards, has always been out for the full light schedule every day. So 4 days over with, I'm pretty sure he somehow disappeared.

Well, I put her into the DT last Monday, Dusky went after her big time right away, assume he scared her right into the sand ..... I didn't see her for two days, and then on Thursday afternoon, she was out and about (and eating) and the Dusky was largely leaving her alone. Likewise on Friday and each day since .... so, appears my fears were unfounded, just took a bit of time to settle down.

You can see him 'looming' in the background, but leaving her alone.

Very nice! I saw these on one of the DD sneak peak emails and was sorely tempted, but bad timing given tank changeover and all ..... good luck with them, and please do keep us posted!
