Lets see those steel stands!

anyone has a design for 96 X 30 x 30 tank steel stand? probably using btm sump.

Went with this for a 96x30x24 plexi tank.
Thirty inch tall tanks are a hand full, that's why I went with 24" tall.

Here's the thread for my tank stand and tank build.

The stand is made from 1.5" steel tubing that is .125 thick.

The stand itself is 96" x 30" x 32".
Just my 2¢, but I would not go with a 30" tall tank. On my stand a 30" tall tank gives you a height of
63 inches for the top of the tank. Unless you are 8 foot tall, you will ALWAYS be on a step
stool to clean the inside of the tank. ALWAYS. Again, just my 2 cents.

Also just a suggestion, but I paid extra for a thicker top piece of the tank to prevent bowing on the front piece. I think it's 3/4 plexi on the top of the tank.
It has prevented bowing on the front piece now going on 7 years. Front piece is only 1/2" plexi.

Hello.
My aquarium is about 40 gallon.(150L) size 32"x14"x20" (81x36x50Cm) Stand will be about same size BUT 40" (100Cm) high
Was thinking making stand from square steel tubing.. But i don't know much about steel structural strength.
Should i build from 2"x2" 1/8" thick? or Will 1.5"x1.5" do the job?
I want the stand to be very, very strong, and safe.. ( I will be adding thick wood on top of stand)

Question on a steel stand for a cube 48/48/24. What size tubing should I use and how many vertical support legs? 4 on the corners, or 8? Can I build the stand in 2 sections and connect them once I get them down the basement steps?
