Lighting advice

Howdy,

I'm converting my 375 gallon tank back to saltwater. The open area is 22"x88", wanting soft corals and LPS. I was considering 5 Kessil 360 or 5 Reefbreeders Photon V2+ 24" fixtures.

Here is the layout of the top of the tank and one from the front. Tank is 30" deep and 30" tall. If Kessils, I was thinking 5 in a straight row across. If Reefbreeders 24", I was thinking two horizontal on each side and one horizontal in front of the overflow. Or, I could do all 5 perpendicular and waste some light on the 6"x30" overflow. Any insights appreciated!

No interest in DIY? 4 acrostar gleams would get the job done IMO and cost around the same as one kessil a360 ($440)

Of course you’d need to drive them still and get a heatsink of some sort.

I have the older Kessils they work fine though too.
Never had a reefbreeder light but supposedly good options.
Lots of options these days really.

Hey just bought the new Reefbreeders Photon V2. Their biggest one 50 inch. To go on my new Planet Reef 120. (48x24x24) The light is very small but a monster of a light. The only thing I do not like about it, is the programming of the light. It's sucks. Hard for me to explain. You have to program each spectrum of light for every hour. They are saying they are coming out with an app to control it by Wi-Fi. to make it easier.

I don't have much input on those lights. My new tank is 30 deep and 30 tall and I have 3 xr30s with 4 t5s. Waiting on a par meter to get some numbers

I looked at them but couldn't justify the price.

I decided on five Reefbreeder Photon V2+ 24". I'm going to mount them perpendicularly and measure PAR at 9"-12" to find the best spread. My first tank with LED lighting!

This week I ordered 2 of their Royal Ice lumenBars to add to the 8 T5s.
