Damn I think you may have gone overboard with the circle in the middle, you plan on swimming through it?

The sump is delayed for another week. Bah.. Can't do any plumbing. Taking the time to add more electrical outlets around the room. Drilled some holes for RODI line and bought a Spectrapure Maxcap. also wired a Cat6 cable to the tank for APEX.
some more goodies arrived..
plumbing parts.. wanted white and red tank for years but somehow ended up with all black. Black wall, black tank, black sump, red pipes

Seaswirls
room is starting to get crazy

so the Gyre 280 standalone unit is still out.. this got me thinking about switching to Vortech MP60s. The only pump that won't have any wires inside the tank, which I really dislike.
What do you guys think? 2 Gyre 280s or 5 MP60s. (I know about gyre quality)
I also have 4 seaswirls for returns.
2 MP60 on each side and 3 on back wall? over kill?

Are you using all four sea swirls as returns from your sump pump? Why not use two of them in a closed loop with a second variable speed pump?
On internal flow... Why don't you just start with one MP60 or Gyre on each end? And then later add more.
IMO Ecotech Marine propeller pumps and Gyre can't compare to each other, they have a completely different flow patters. Better make sure to look at the flow that you are trying to archive and choose on a product accordingly.
MP60s for sure
Looks like my living room. Can't wait to see the equipment out of boxes and in your aquarium
Looks like my house LOL
