m0nkie's 560gal

I know you've already ordered the panta rhei, but have you also considered the Tunze 6150? Looks like an amazing pump that might complement the PR quite nicely. Supposed to come out next month. Anyway, I'm contemplating one for my 300.

Do you have room to run your uv with the unions vertical? The way it sits now will trap air, get too hot, and wreck the bulb/quartz sleeve.

Yes I have 3ft of space under the tank. I'm just sitting the UV for a picture. It will be hard plumbed in via PVC.

so you suggest the outlet and inlet unions facing up?

I used a 40watt UV previously, just sitting on the floor. Didn't notice any heat issues

I have not used any Tunze pumps before, usually their weird size is a turn off. This one looks pretty cool. Really trying to go cordless inside the tank. the PR is kind of an experiment

ho ho ho. I don't know why but I felt excited when I see new tanks being filled with water.
Congrats!! Looking sweet!!

This is a very cool build! I am glad to see someone try out the PR ECM63, I'll be following along to see what you think about it once you have set it up.

I went with an Abyzz concealed in a custom built ceramic rock and love the fine tuning possibilities and 1% increments to dial the flow pattern according to your needs.
I have the ARID as well, I think you'll like it once it's all dialed in.

connecting these 2 sumps was a PITA.. good thing I can fit inside the sump.

drain plumbing complete... need to wait for more parts to arrive Friday for return plumbing..

so many parts not sold in stores for these large sized plumbing. things like 1.5" soft silicone tubing.. impossible to find anywhere. everything is custom order online

plumbing's on wait again... the return pump hole was drilled smaller. waiting on John to come fix this.. one thing about John at AA is he's always... late..

anyways. upgraded the skimmer on coral QT. still testing out with some corals before putting everything in. also need to scrape those algae off..

started mounting the APEX station. Display with Amazon Fire tablet. Going to have a black acrylic box built to mount all the APEX modules. the box will cover the outlet

Man sorry to hear about the delays. Same here. Waiting on our rail system for the lights :-/ soon enough you'll have it up and running. Might buy a lawnmower blenny tomorrow if my water parameters improve. I'm at .2 nitrite :-()
