Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Pete, I have a 1/4hp in line Tradewinds. It was from my 90. It does fine, but when I upgrade next summer, I will get a larger tradewinds.

Good to know. I've got a drop in 1/4hp Aqualogic that I was hoping would be good enough... Sounds like 1/3 is probably a better option as funding allows?

You have 30 more gallons to chill and IME, in lines are a little more efficient. You will most likely need to upgrade sooner or later.

I guess I spoke too soon Due to the extra precaution that fins reef takes when shipping their products, it looks like I will need to find a different weekend project. The box was a little too big for standard shipping and I did not want to spend the extra $$$ to have it here by Thursday.

Luckily, my new wave drivers have been delivered

Grain fed is goooooood! We need to hook up this weekend. It's been tough not getting my RC fix and hangin with my crew!

Too bad your skimmer isn't coming in this week, but at least it's on the way. I also ordered the silencer today. As my time is no longer my own, the $30 was money well spent.

So which H&S did you get? That silencer has my attention. I'd like to see how it integrates into existing skimmers. I toy with the idea of replacing my H&S, but why? It rocks.

I recently got a Tradewind, believe it or not I weighed your opinion on them in my decision. Better product than Aqua-Logic IMO.

I ended up getting the a200-1260. I basically spent some money for the external model. I will definitely post some pictures of the silencer with a full report.

I looked around at a few different skimmers, but I always ended up back at the H&S. I have talked to so many people and it came down to being a peeing contest.

Let me know when you are coming to town again. I am still looking for a couple of John's old pieces
