you can get diy ballasts pretty cheap on 1000bulbs.com.

Phishy has 150 watt Blue Wave ballasts on special right now, 30% off. I know I ran my 175 watt bulb on a 150 watt ballast for over a year until I switched up to 250s. A little more expensive than a diy setup, but a much cleaner look. Depends if your ballast will be visible or not.
