Thanks everyone, you are too kind. I wasn't trolling for sympathy, honest. I just tend to participate a lot on RC and I wanted to let you know why I am not around.

If you start getting this virus, get to a doctor right away and get Tamiflu. Its too late for me unfortunately, but the second day I had this I couldn't leave the house to see a doctor.

Normally I just go to the urgent care a couple miles away since getting in same day with my primary care doctor is pretty tough. I'm not aware of home visit availability.

Remember that here is USA. In Argentina and when I was living in Belgium I can call a doctor for a home visit. In my 15 years in USA I never heard about it. If you are really bad you call 911 or someone drives you to the ER......and I have to pay $100 as copayment before anyone takes care of me at the ER. Unless I am almost dead then I pay later ...:blown:

Thanks Mark! I'm on the mend, I know because I cleaned the glass on BOTH tanks and performed a water test! I basically could only find the effort to feed the fish and dose the barest of additives. Most nights I just added the carbon source and called it good.

Angus is one super awesome dog, man! I'm glad you added him to your family!

Update from the week:
First off tanks agin everyone for the well wishes, I really appreciated them!

I reduced dosing down to mainly carbon source in the morning and night, bacteria in the mornings. A couple nights I dosed aminos and vitamins and trace. I cut the NP Pro dose back to 5 drops twice a day and surprisingly enough, after a week like that I tested Phosphate at 0.05, which is pretty good. There seems to be a sweet spot for NP Pro - adding more doesn't seem to do as much.

Corals are growing like gangbusters, color is fantastic, except for one stag which should be blue but is purplish brown. Sunday I was looking at it closely using a magnifying glass and what do you know, it had redbugs. I only saw other bugs on one other coral though. Luckily a Spectrum treatment is easy peasy, I ground up and dissolved most of a Spectrum chew, turned the skimmer down, pulled the carbon, and dumped it in. The coral seems to be doing better color wise already.

I have 5 or 6 sapphire damsels coming tomorrow, since I was sick the LFS had to hold them for me. Still trying to track down more anthias.

My LFS got them for me, special order from Quality Marine. It took them 3 weeks before QM had them. There have been a run on them lately it seems.

Will your new damsels get along with your chromis? I've never had those before but they look really nice

Angus is one super awesome dog, man! I'm glad you added him to your family!

He is a super dog, topped 20 lbs this vet visit at just shy of 4 months old. I think he is going to be on the upper end of the BC size range. He is now my official jogging partner. He and I do 2.5 miles 3x a week. Want to get back up to 3 miles, which is what I was going before the crappy winter weather set in around here. It does not get that cold, but it is a really damp cold.

Not sure if my memory serves me well...but I think I did push you to start a tank thread...if it was me I'm glad I did because I love coming back to this thread and seeing the pretty acro pics. Thanks Sahin! Yes you did push me to start this journal and I thank you for that - its my therapy couch as much as anything. I love talking Reef Tanks and showing my progress. I didn't think Id enjoy it as much as I do

Just returned from the LFS with 6 of the Sapphire damsels and a big Granulosa colony that has been calling me for quite a while. There is another colony there I want as well but ill wait a week to get it.
