WOW AND WOW AND WOW !!!!!

Hi Matt,

Nice pictures. As your corals get more and more colourful, have you noticed any change in their growth rate?

Thanks

Bulent

Thanks Bulent! I noticed an uptick of growth several weeks ago when phosphate levels dropped but then growth really took off when I swapped out 10 of the 14 bulbs. I'm keen to finish the swap after seeing the increase in growth.

Matt do you have the true Oregon Tort? If so can you post up a good top down shot of it please? Thanks.

Nice stuff - that new Loripes colony looks full of potential.

Thanks- It's been in my LFS' tank for 7 months under Radions. Seeing that it survived there that long I wasn't worried about survival. I have a feeling I will be able to wring a lot more color out of it:p

Matt! You dont have an Oregon Tort!!! :hammer: If I were in the USA this would be the first acro in my tank.

I can get one of those anytime I like...they practically hand them out as door prizes at the LFS around here:twitch:

Just kidding!:lolspin:

Thanks Matt. The guy who gave me this particular rescue thinks it is a RR wolverine, but he can not remember 100%. The others I got from this guy might be an Oregon tort and a Pink Panther. If so, 3 great corals for no money. I just owe the guy the first frag of each as payment.

Oooh, thats a sweet deal indeed!

I've heard that for color intensity in a frag tank that 50/50 blue plus to Actinic is the best way to go.
I haven't been able to purchase my DT fixture just yet but i ordered my T5's for the frag tank fixture and have switched out the LED fixture im running the old bulbs till the new ones come in.

Hey Matt, that last group of shots were nice!
Another week.. how's the tank doing?
That's a whole week without new shots..
How's the new granulosa/loripes doing?
Any changes yet? what type of par are you giving it?
Also....... seriously... no OT???
Get yourself an Oregon Tort!!!! I gotta see what it will look like in an Aquaforest tank..

The tank is doing fantastic, but it was a long work week for me so I haven't been participating as much.

A bunch is going on though:

1) I finally got my hands on two Euroquatics "E5" Led tubes, the "Blue Pop" variety. Im giving these a trial run. They put off a very nice royal blue thats a shade deeper than the Blue plus.

You can see the tube, third from the left:

2) I have been giving the Phosphate minus GFO product from Aquaforest a try as well. I am using 9 Tablespoons in a bag floated in the sump. So far so good, no ill effects and it has kept the PO4 value very low.

3) I got 2 Sunset Anthias and one of the new ORA filefish for the tank:
