Mike's 200g

Yeah I feed 6 cubes of frozen a day plus 2 rotations of my auto feeder flake and pellets. I think this is quite a bit anyway. But I could add a bit more.

I have taken the coral out that was shedding tissue and just getting rid of it. The blue tenuis I cut all areas of skeleton off and covered all cut areas with glue and any exposed skeleton that couldn't be cut. On that piece it does maybe seem like STN/RTN may have slowed. We shall see.
It's strange but I do not see any visible signs of bite marks on any other acroporas, could it be possible they were isolated only on this coral? I only saw 2 come off. Should I just chuck that piece 2?

Couple cell phone pics of the Efflo. I'm happy this piece so far hasn't shown any issue. I sure hope it stays that way. Would be a real shame if this piece went.

Wow. That is a lot of food!

I wouldn't chuck the piece with bit marks. If you dipped it and checked for eggs, it should be clean now.. Whether you have other aefws in the tank is a mystery..
I have to say, I have watched carribean peppermint shrimp feast on aefw eggs. Not sure about the actual flatworms, though.
Olddude, in one of his totm articles, mentioned how he added an army of peppermint shrimp to his tank when he discovered aefws and never had a problem with them again..
Word of warning: after adding the peppermint to my tank, they also eradicated my aptasia. HOWEVER, I am now not able to add any anemones to my tank.. The shrimp will descend upon it and begin eating it. I had to remove a beautiful blue carpet I tried to add..

Mike I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having, your last round of photos were really fantastic. I'm especially smitten with that marbling setosa you have, I've never seen anything like it. Can you see the color difference of the marbling under normal lighting or just under the blue/UV?

Thanks josh. I love That piece 2. The marbling is not as obvious under normal lighting, looks just more like a lighter Orange streaks. It's when the evening lights come on it really pops.

I figured that would be the case, I bet that thing is really beautiful to see in person.

I'm going to watch closely for more bite marks on any corals. I will prob take the Carolina out next week and dip again. I have heard that about pepermints... But I had also heard stories about them going after coral tissue? ? I'm not worried about it eating anemones, I have no intentions of adding any. If they eat always great! I also think my emp angel did some work on those 2.

Sorry about the AEFW confirmation. :( I think somewhere at the start of my thread I may have put a link or two that was helpful to me.

How is the overall STN situation?

The stn seems to have stopped for now. Even the blue tenuis I cut up and glued doesn't seem to show anymore tissue loss.. Just poor color and no PE.
I took another piece out that looked possibly like it had bite marks to dip. Maybe 1 or 2 but nothing I could be sure about... And no eggs I could see. I am still yet to see any eggs anywhere.
I did everything before putting in my tank but something must have snuck through. Now I'm in predicament of what to do... Take all acros out? Dip if I see any others with problems (right now don't see any bite marks on others)? I turkey baste to see if any come off. But it's near impossible to tell if they are worms, sand, detritus, etc. Nothing I can clearly say is a flat worm. All in all most corals look good.

I had stopped dosing coral colors, acro power, and sponge power in case they were contributing to tissue loss. Maybe it was just too much "stuff"

Took shots today just with cell phone and gel filters. Tried looking in close for eggs or bite marks. Nothing I could see but pics got a bit fuzzy as I zoomed too close.
Here are a few others I took

Pearlberry, starting to look real nice

Dragon island.. Not sure if brown with green polyps is a curduus, but similar

I really like smooth skin, deep water corals like granulosa, Loripes, Lorain etc. I think I have 3 granulosa's in my tank. Here is 2 of them. If anyone has different id let me know.

And a pic of the bad... Tissue loss on this coral. Not sure if it's still spreading or not. If it is it's happening slowly.

Might pay to drop that green one down to the floor if you can Mike, i'm very jealous of your yummy dragons.... i don't have any dragons :(

Those phone pics are awesome btw :)

Cheers bud. The green one I had already moved down. But not to the sand. However I can't believe too much light is a problem as I borrowed par meter the other week and I only just break 250 just under the surface!!!!

Hey Mike, i didn't mean that light caused it mate just that in the stressed state it's now in it will not be liking much light. I hope it stabilizes for you buddy :)

Oh yeah, sorry guess I wasn't clear, I know you were not saying light caused it and just that right now it won't want much. What I was meaning was that I had moved it down but there doesn't seem to be much light anywhere in my tank if par meters are anything to go by. I agree with you a stressed coral doesn't want to get baked.
