Mike's 200g

Mike,
The colors are amazing, and the growth is through the roof! I love the recent set of photos, simply awesome :)

This is similar to the northern lights granuloda.. But is just a mariculture piece... But be the same actual coral though, who knows.

The pearlberry

Beautiful shots, Mike and great pe.
The corals look fantastic...
But your pearlberry takes my breath away..
Just stunning. It does not get better than that. Period.

Matt, My pearlberry is probably my favorite acro in the tank color wise and to take pictures of.
Was looking at a couple old pics today.
This is one year growth of the pink lemonade.
First pic August 2015 second pic August 2016. My goal for this coral now is to possibly up the light intensity to try and bring a little more pink to the polyps like Perry's, and get rid of the slight green sheen it has (it is actually more yellow in person but still not a yellow like Josh or Perry's)

Wow. That's amazing. It's quite remarkable how fast a coral will grow when it hits its stride.
That PL is happy happy.

Looks awesome, still using the Radion's? My fingers are itchy with the G4's coming out soon...might get me back interested in my tank after seeing yours with the LED.

Yes still running radions....but did add 4 t5s about 2 months ago.
The g4 looks nice, if the new lenses work as they say it will be very good. However I won't be changing, don't see the need to spend that my h cash as mine are working fine. Unfortunately there is no upgrade path from older models this time... Although I don't know if you can get the new lenses on the older model as or not.

Took a little road trip the other day and for to go visit golden basket reef in Oregon. Wow! That's all I can say. The most incredible set up I have ever seen. Bought some incredible frags. Amazing corals at this place. I think Rudy (the owner) told me in total there is 14000 gallons of water in all the tanks. Seriously incredible stuff, I was like a kid in a candy store. He had some diy leds over his system...hitting his corals with 600-800 par!!! Couldn't believe it when he told me that's how much light he gives them. Here I am struggling to get even 300 par to any of my corals.
I will definitely be upping my light out put a little... Now I won't be able to get anywhere near 600 par with all my lights run 100% But at least I can get a little more.
I also acquired a 48x24x10 frag tank that I am planning on setting up in my garage. Have not decided if I will plumb it into my main system yet or keep it 100% seperate. Pros to joining is increased water volume, only one tank to test parameters, no need for additional filtration system. Cons are if one system gets a problem they all do, I do have AEFW in my system so if I join them they may work there way into that tank 2.
What would you guys do?
My current 1p gallon frag tank that is connected will likely be disconnected whatever I chose and then possibly run as a small coral qt tank for new arrivals.... I say all this but my tank is basically full now anyway.

After the stop at golden basket we stopped at upscales (the origin place of the upscaled microclados and the Oregon tort. Then stopped at cuttlefish and corals on the way back to see Jeff who always has some special acros in stock (we took a few of those home)

Thats some serious PAR hitting the corals, any other info on their system? curious to see what the params are and what the corals look like

He basically had loads of huge tubs all connected. Flow is a gyre type flow (but not using the gyre pumps) lights he had different on different tanks, but on the main sps gems he had diy led putting out 800 par on the frags during "white light" hours (6 hours per day), if I remember correctly, he ran high calcium like 480, alk around 8.5-9, mag I think like 1400. Po4 0.03 and no3 I think he said around 10. Very different numbers to what I run but it sure was working. They are a coral farm that sell online at coral auctions and are not a store really open to the public but we had a contact that helped us get to see his system.

That one year grow is truly amazing and should put into textbook.

Thanks Shih. I was pretty shocked when I saw it in photos like that. When we are them everyday it's harder to notice how much they have grown.

Angled FTS from the weekend.

Beautiful tank MichealW! I'm wondering what your led color% consist of and percentage through the day as I've not seen this kind of growth from led and even from my tank lol. Your one year growth is awesome and color is amazing also. I know it's not all lighting for sure but it's a key to the puzzle. I'm just curios as I don't even run radions I run hydra 52s. Thanks in advance and can't wait to see the 2 yr pics coming.
