Thanks Kevin,

I have 10 Narva Blue T5 Tubes and 2 KZ Fiji Purple.
I also have 9 Radium 20K 400W Metal Halides- Just changed back from 9 Reeflux 10K's.

They are all mounted in 3 Giesemann Spectra light units.

I have been comparing to Reeflux 12K, so currently 8 Radium's and 1x 12K Reeflux 400W. They are very similar bulbs to my eyes, so I might leave them as is to compare what they are like in 6 months time.

You didn't like the 10k

You didn't like the 10k

Sorry I missed your call, Kevin.

The corals loved the 10k. They really pushed my calcium reactor hard.
I prefer a bluer look and the corals just bring out a little bit more colour in their bodies, I find, with Radiums. Also, my alk demand isn't that much less with the Radiums.

The 10k look was just a bit yellowish for me. The Radiums may be a little blue for most, but I like the bulb...

Tank is absolute sickness. Loving it every step of the way. Awesome build. This would be more of my dream dream build. Can you share some lessons learnt on it?

Absolutely Stunning MO!!!

I haven't been on your thread on UR for some time, but things look to be growing in amazingly. Great work - I'm still looking forward to the day of my dream tank indulgence... but in the meantime, I'm perfectly happy living vicariously through you and others hear on RC.

Nice build!!!! I'm concidering a similar sized tank in my basement but question if my concrete floor can take the weight. Were there special considerations to the concrete slab in your case? I don't want to compromise the house's footing so will stick with a tank size that can take the existing structure.

the tank is amazing looking mo. so do you still like the look of the 10k or are you still trying to adjust to the difference
