Multicontroller Settings

Roger,

I now have the two 6000 Streams and the multi-controller. (no backorders!) I have no choice but to mount them on the back wall of the tank due to the canopy resting on the other three sides of the tank. I have the streams as close as possible to the overflow in each rear corner...pointing towards the opposite front corner. Do you reccommend a pulse such as 100/30 & 30/100 or something else such as an interval setting?

Tank size is 4x2x2 120 gallon, mainly SPS dominated.

Thanks again for your help!
Jim

I would say it depends on one thing. In general I would prefer tide mode but tide mode carries a risk. When the pump is off small animals can enter, stomatid snails and hermits are the most common. Then when the pump starts the drive shaft is broken. If you are sure you have no animals that small that will attempt to enter the pump use tide mode. Otherwise use pulse mode so nothing can enter the pump but you may want to start with a peak below 100% because 2 will be a lot of flow at first until everything settles in.
