My 180 4sided viewable in-wall build

Great overflow design, no problems with inverts etc getting stuck in the overflow. How did you come up with you overflow idea?
Coralscape is fantastic.

The overflows are not my idea. :)

Like everything it's a borrowed idea from the good folks of reefcentral.

I don't have any issues with inverts after the first year. The flow can easily go down one of the two overflows so if something happens, it's got a backup overflow.

The basic design was to just have rocks and corals, no visible equipment. And I'm very happy with the results. As it is growing in more and more the better it looks.

Thanks for your kind words

I think you have put more planning into this tank than i have ever seen. Should be worth it. Good luck. Will follow along

what kind of modification are you doing

It involves ripping into my 10bulb 60" ATI powermodule and hacking it up... then ripping apart some custom-ordered REEFBRITE LED strips...

ducktape may be used... but I will stay away from Popsicle sticks...

HAHA make that two ppl harrassing you on two forums! I bet those photos are from a wholesalers tank...jk FTS or it didn't happen.

I just added a reefbrite XHO blue to my tek fixture and I am wondering why I didnt do it a long time ago. Its amazing to say the least. It was a bit easier to mount to the tek then I imagine it would be for an ATI PM good luck with the DIY. I expect more "porn" before the new year. (Also tapping foot impatiently)

How about a few update photos...

NAW... those are borring.... so some PREVIEW PHOTOS?

Much better... A new modification is being done to the setup.. this is the tested results...

Hookup, I'd love to see a FTS. Still, by far one of my favorite tanks on RC. I can't wait to see how it's progressing!

Nice tank, I really like what you did with the overflows. After reading the thread last night i felt like tearing my centre overflow apart and trying something like that. But wow, thats a lot of work. But i admit, it looks sweet.

@doork, thanks so much for that complement. There are so many amazing systems on RC that I cannot even hold a candle to.

@TheCodFather; it was a lot of work, but I am very happy with the final result. It really did exceed my own expectations. I have to tweak the return line with some epoxy, and finish gluing the overflow strainers into place... A few other minor things need to be done as well, but all in all it's pretty complete. Just waiting on the growth.

I had every intention of doing some FTS's tonight. I even had the camera out and everything. But by the time it was dark enough outside I was distracted by a movie that my wife put on and now it's late and i'm turning in.

FTS incoming soon... ive added a few corals and many have grown since the last FTS.
